 Huh? I think I've seen more people post KJVO than anything else? Maybe I'm wrong. Personally I use different translations, including KJV. I'm not KJVO or anti-KJV. [IMG] [IMG]

Just a notice. I have read on here and seen people like me get banned, blasted, and so what for saying what they believe in. I think that is wrong. Think about it. Okay?

About the KJV, yes, I am KJV ONLY! I read the real deal. You read what ya wanna, just tell me, why not read just the KJV? Why is the other better?

Ummmm, just finished up a KK donut..good stuff!

The Baptist Board has nothing against the KJV, nor do most of the posters, even those like me who are not KJVO, I use the KJV as often as not, I just don't believe a person who holds to the Bible as their only rule of Faith and Practice can truly hold the KJV as the ONLY translation of the Scriptures that can be held up as God's Word.

The KJV and the NIV are DIFFERENT! Why can't we stick with just one version? What a confusion.

Cats and rats and elephants, as sure as you were born and don't you forget the unicorn. So goes a famous song by the Irish Rovers. Some truth; some myth. Many translations will help us to perhaps reach the true meaning of the scriptures in a modern context.

Never seen a person banned here because they use the KJV only. It generally had to do with an obnoxious attitude.

    Cheers,

    Jim

PS. I use the KJV in public services and preaching cos that is wot I grew up with. Too old to change now. I do read them all though.

Hiya Pappy! Boy, you sure do jump in with both feet, eh? Da granny's hands have never so much as touched anything other than the kjBible---ever! I never heard of this "onlyism" til I came here and started reading...but then, I've led a sheltered life. [IMG]

    Hello, Pappy.

This is not the appropriate place for talking about the KJV. (Because the debates tend to become so bitter.) Your comments on the KJV will be appropriate in the Translations forum.

It would be easier if you started a new one there.

    Pappy,

Most people here like the KJV. And those who have been banned are those who are militant KJVO, making degrading remarks about other translations of God's word and questioning the salvation of believers who use non-KJV bibles.

Nobody has ever been banned from the BB for saying what they believe in. I believe in the KJV and have never been banned or even warned by the moderators.

What gets people banned is name-calling and using vicious hatefilled language about what others believe. When an anti-KJV person calls the KJV "The King Jimmy" version, he will be warned and if he continues he will be banned. When a KJV person calls other versions "per-versions" he too will be warned and if he continues he will be banned.

The BB is very balanced. You may say what you believe and why you believe it, but you may not spread hate and division. That is the Devil's job and no Christian should ever be caught doing the Devil's work.
