    Verse 4:

    During the Renaissance,
    Dawning Reformation;
    The Greek New Testament edit,
    Erasmus the elite.

I wonder if they know Erasmus was
    a Catholic priest?

Jeffrey Khoo seems to parrot the same nonsense, distortions, and fallacies of D.A. Waite, which it is apparent that Khoo quotes a LOT from. Don't these KJV-onlies have any credible sources on which to base their arguments on?

It is hard to believe that a man with a Ph.D. would spend so much time rehashing others work. It is work that is no better than what we call library work. His research is not very well done and only serves to promote his agenda.

    "Provedentially preserved pickle version"?
And WE get lambasted and edited and snipped and censored for saying "corrupted"?

    Give me a break! LOL

Can you say "double standard"? ONLY IF IT APPLIES TO US!

Awww, c'mon, Jim! Have a sense of humor! :D

Besides, Ed Edwards used the phrase in his posts some months ago. It is a parody, not a put-down, of the 'product' of KJV-onlyism. Since you guys can't seem to pin down that 'perfectly providentially preserved' KJV (in whatever edition of the KJV), then we will give it some nebulous form:

The Perfectly Providentially Preserved Pickle Version

    mmmmmmm......mmmmmmmmmm!!!!! PICKLES [IMG]

    ROFLOL!!! [IMG]

I hope that my comments weren't taken the wrong way, Jim! [IMG]

I think that Jim has a point. This "pickled version" comment has been troubling me for a while. It appears to violate the spirit of the law if not the letter. I understand that this was not necessarily the motivation of the poster above, but I think this term adds fuel to the fire which may not be helpful to our debate.

I was not aware of hymns to the KJV before this thread. Do these hymns/prayers to the KJV get answered? Does it perform miracles for those who worship it?

Why is King James called "Masster" with a capital M? What ever happened to "no king but King Jesus"?

Well verse 6 seems a bit more orthodox. At least the Holy Sprit (which the KJV1611 calls "holy Ghost" and the KJV1769 calls "Holy Ghost") gets mentioned:

    The Spirit illumine,
    Apply our hearts to glean:
Each letter of the Holy Writ,
    Direct saints by its light.

Think "pickled" is another way of saying "preserved" and not the slam many consider.

But I agree with Bill the Cat - that hymn is repulsive to my Spirit.
