I have asked two simple questions, many, many times in different threads and as soon as the questions are asked they are either ignored or the KJVo's stop posting.

I dare any KJVo to give me a simple answer to each. Answer it....don't give me ten paragraphs of blah, blah, blah.

I don't think they can, because I don't think they have an answer.

    1. What was the word-for-word, letter-for-letter perfect English Bible in 1605?

    2. Which version of the KJV is word-for-word, letter-for-letter perfect?

    Phillip. Naughty naughty boy!
Now why on earth would you start a NEW thread with these questions. Go back to the thread where you addressed me and Greg. Read our answers.
They ARE answers to your questions. You DON'T LIKE the answers because they do not play into your design. Too bad, so sad. But they ARE legitimate answers nonetheless.

[IMG] [IMG] LRL...sadly you have MISSED the game...the game is..believe your Bible IS the Word of God WITHOUT proven ERROR...and honor God in simple faith.
Beyond that,Jim and I were simply making the point to Phillip that he was ducking us by starting a new thread with his allegation/questions rather than answer the perfectly good and logical answers we BOTH posted over in the original thread "KJVOnly or Only KJV".

Get in the REAL game brother.....Greg

This thread is not dealing with any issues as all. Lets find a topic and stop the sparring.

Roger. Perhaps you should close it. It is not useful for anything.

The thread is valid - the attacks both ways are not.

Jim, stating you don't care what the perfect word of God was in 1605, etc., is not dealing with the issue. It still leaves your belief that the KJV is the 100 % perfect word of God in question, especially in light of all of the revisions its gone through and all the other evidence presented proving that no one version is supported as you would have it believed.

Tho' some would consider me ancient, I didn't live in 1605...so I don't know what was around then, nor do I have the need to know. What I DO know and the ONLY thing I NEED to KNOW, is the Bible I started out with 50yrs ago, is the one I'll die with...and yes, it is the one & only PERFECT word of God...so there!

Why you wanna start these threads for, I'll never know, nor do I care to know...but I sure hope you'll find your peace. [IMG]

You may think that shows faith, but it sounds more like the blind faith of those involved in cults than true Biblical faith that rests on a sound foundation established before 1611. I assume that you are a believer, but your comments do not seem to be very sound and Biblical. A consistent and scriptural view of Bible translation would be true both before and after 1611. Where does the Bible teach that God gave
a different Word of God for English-speaking believers after 1611 than they had before 1611?
Belief in some imagined new or additional revelation or second inspiration in any form or under name seems to undermine the authority of the Bible for all men.

Seems YOU are the one casting doubt!!

Tell me,what did people do BEFORE 1880 when W&H sat down to correct the Bible???
Did they have a word perfect Bible?? Or did God have to wait on two Papal SPIES to come allong to finaly "get it right?"

Granny, I know you said you don't care to know but for the benefit of those who do care to know, I'll repeat what I've said before: Folks have come here to the BB calling the Bibles that many of us love and use in worship and devotion "satanic counterfeits".

They ought not to be surprised when they are treated in like kind.

Maybe not the best way to respond but that's the answer.

Adding insult to injury they eventually resort to name-calling, insult, innuendo, shouting and ranting when we object using the same methods that they themselves use to judge the character of a Bible and it's translators.

BTW, the last time I gave this answer I was mocked and falsly accused which only proved the point I was and am making...

"I hope you find your peace" It is relatively peaceful here until certain folk of the KJVO persuasion show up.

How about it everyone, why not "bury the hatchet" (and not in each other's head)?

Here we go again with the slander of Westcott and Hort. Is this really necessary?

Problem is, KJVO readers, there ARE proven errors in the KJV, documented elsewhere in this forum

Another thing is that the Scriptures KJVOs claim justifies the KJVO myth are applicable to every other valid version in every other language. There are NO KJV-exclusive scriptures.

KJVOs simply cannot work through those facts which present an insurmountable obstacle to their myth's being true. They simply cannot sustain any other excuse for being KJVO besides personal preference. They cannot justify their attacks against other versions. I realize many KJVOs stick to the KJV w/o attacking other versions, but many others among them cannot let well enough alone. Those people simply have nothing to stand on.

Most KJVOs simply won't admit they're trying to make excuses for following a false, man-made doctrine. All the rhetoric they can produce cannot cover their cardinal problem of no Scriptural nor historical support for their myth.

They have admitted, indirectly, that their beliefs are no more Biblical or rational than that of the Mormons, JWs and other cults. Their inability to defend their beliefs, and lack of concern that their beliefs make sense or be in accord with God's Word, tells all you need to know.
