"Ma'am, we care more about the unborn life that might be in your womb than we care about your willingness to announce the pregnancy. We believe it so much that we will remove you from membership of the church as a matter of discipline unless you make that information widely known."

"Hmmm, what's that? You don't think it's our business? Obviously you don't respect life!"

Salty, are you serious?!!! If you are, then how will you grade the unborn student? I hope you are prepared to grade the student not only by absenteeism but also how attentive the student were, how the student answered your question, how he/she behaved, etc. I am asking again, are you serious? Are we talking about a real Sunday School or a form of window display? :type:

Whew! Okay, that makes me feel much better about your position. I still don't agree with it, but I don't think you've suddenly gone nutty anymore!

Ditto here. I was a little worried about that typo at first, but I think no self-respecting man in his right mind would risk the wrath of a pregnant lady like that anyway, at least not for long!

What is the point in counting people in Sunday School?
    Why does it matter?
Personally I would like to see that crazy numbers board thrown away!

People should be more concerned over who is missing, instead of how many are missing... They should be looking for people, not looking for numbers...

This is why after only 2 months of becoming pastor of the church I am at now, I asked our trustees to move our board from the front of the church into the foyer. I got tired of watching people pay so much attention to the numbers... guess what? That is when the church started to grow.. People started talking about who wasn't there, and wondering if something was wrong.

Half the time I forget to count the number in the discipleship class I teach now! So I voted no.. if it was up to me, we wouldn't count anyone...
I know, I know, we have to in order to order supplies... but you all know what I mean.

    What?

Was this a trick question? :tonofbricks:

I only voted the way I did, based on Sunday School/Church only counting for those who are accountable or (with reasonable foresight) going to come to an age of accountability, in regards to being a lost sinner, and trusting Christ as Saviour.

If I knew this was an abortion thing, I would have voted otherwise.

The question is very leading and not appropriate for an actual research project.

We don't count them for the first several months of their lives (of necessity). I don't think there is anything sinister about not counting them before birth.

Unless of course it's the difference between the teacher swallowing a gold fish or something...

Thanks Christlifter for illuminating this LISA thingy for me. So that's what this is all about? No wonder I could not see eye to eye with Salty. Now I see that while I was talking about apples, he was talking about oranges. :praying:

Would you also propose that pregnent women who go to a movie pay for two tickets. How about a pregnent mother who attends college. Should the unborn pay the tuition?
