Labor Unions that cost you the most

    The two labor Unions that cost you the most are the American Medical Assoc. and the Bar Assoc. The only unions that have their membership requirements enforced by law are the AMA (doctors, not motorcycle riders) and the Bar. Would you all be happy if the Teamsters changed their name to "The American Teamsters Assoc?"

    Interesting story in the March Smithsonian about the Luddites. The point of the story is that the major purpose of Luddites (and unions) is to control jobs and who can have them, not to control wages. This is exactly what the AMA and the Bar Assoc do.
