The arguments for a version to be understandable in the modern tongue are what drives most legitimate translations...from the English versions to the Bible in Swahili and Hungarian.

The "old paths" phrase you use from Jeremiah 6:16 contextually aren't talking about versions.

Now you say God has preserved His word in many translations - yet you are constantly promoting the KJVO myth. You really need to decide what you think, Salamander. I know it is hard for those of you who are confused by the errors of the KJVO myth, but why don't you at least try to decide what you balieve? Those of us who do not accept the lies and errors of those who started the whole KJVO myth at least know what we believe - but KJVO myth supporters are more and more confused every day.

Please share with us some of the versions you believe are the preserved word of God - we would all like to know what you consider God's preserved word. And it is not God who is confused by the various English Bible versions - He knows what His word says and He knows what His will really is. Only those who believe the KJVO myth are confused. KJVO myth supporters like yourself are confused by the fact that God can and does preserve His word in various English translations because you don't believe God is powerful enough to do so.

We're waiting to hear what versions you accept as God's preserved word, Salamander. If we hold our breaths will we pass out and turn blue from waiting?

And if you would see the KJVO myth for what it really is, [snip], you would no longer be dismayed over the various Bible versions that confuse you and other KJVO myth supporters, Salamander. Dismay and confusion are only in the minds of those who support the KJVO myth.
