And we see you take a quote, clip it out by itself which takes it out of context. You can proven anything you want by dishonestly taking a quote out of context. The context shows that he was not criticizing the people in small towns. It shows an understanding not a criticism of why they cling to the beliefs they hold dear. Sorry, you blew it.

Here is the quote in context and it shows your intent was very dishonest. I will give you credit for trying.

Crabby, you are aware that there is more than one person on the Baptist Board are you not?

I have not been a part of this discussion until now.

You asked for a reference to Obama saying "clinging to their religion".

    I gave you the reference.

I made no assertion as to the context or meaning.

Try a little less emotion and a lot more thought and you will do much better here.

Sorry about that Targus. But you additional comment to Bro led me to believe otherwise. As I said, sorry about that.

The entire quote does put the one he gave in a totally different light IMHO.

    Blessings.

Sounds like an accurate description of the Flea Bag Party that just met in Nashville.

    Right....

The understanding that Obama is expressing is that they are redneck, racist, hate filled, religious hicks.

    No criticism there.

Now you are being dishonest as you are emphasizing one one small part of the quote while ignoring the rest of it. Reading the entire quote shows that he understood and was sympathizing with the people of Pennsylvania. Of course, since Bush was names as part of the cause of their problem, which he was, you will never be honest enough to admit the truth. Others as well it is obvious.

You objected to my earlier post:

But now it fits perfectly. I expected better of you.

So you, like Obama, make my point, that C.T.Boy ignores.

But I gotta wondew how a desire for people to follow immigration laws makes them, anti-immigrant. And I also wonder why those who treasure the second ammendment need to be disparaged.

It's hard to oppress a people that can fight back. Gotta demoralize them first.

    To conclude the thread:

The latent Marxist attitudes I described are like the law of Gravity. These attitudes have slowly, but relentlessly pulled this nation down toward absolute despotism.

A conservative resurgence in 2010 (if God grants us an election), will only delay the inevitable. This nation will never be fully restored until the philosophies and policies listed in the OP are finally rejected.

I am not sure about Holland, but Norway and Sweden are two of the safest nations in the world. Is that so bad? How are they Marxist?

The countries named have had socialist programs for years so must have been pulled down to despotism.

    Despotism? Sweden and Norway?

    Please explain that statement.

An honest question, by the way,
