Let's suppose Calvinism is true...then why don't all Christians believe it?

Aaron's a troll...the things he says should be taken in that light.

Those are all immutable truths...calvinism is not immutable truth, it is a view on how that immutable truth is arrived at. Apples and oranges.

I guess I will respond to this thread kinda late. In order to suppose that Calvinism is true then one would have to believe in only part of the Bible that they can twist and massage. If one believes the whole Bible, they will see there are many faulty beliefs in Calvinist beliefs.

That, being said, renders the rest of the question null and void.

==Speaking of "diversion techniques", why is it that you are not answer my reply (or the replies of others) in this thread? I have gone through the entire thread and have noticed that you have only replied, in a very brief way, to one or two people. Was your post a direct attack against one or two individuals and that is why you are not offering any meaningful interaction? Or are you just one of those posters that sets a fire and then runs and hides to watch the action? Just curious.

No. Not all of these are true.

One who does not believe in the deity of Christ is most definitely NOT a Christian. Nor one who denies the virgin birth. To deny just these truths is to deny that Jesus is God, which a Christian cannot do.

1Cr 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and [that] no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

I believe in doctines of God's sovereignty and grace, and no, I do not agree with his assessment. From interacting with you, and reading your posts for several years, I believe you to be a solid Christian, and quite gracious towards people.

The examples on BOTH sides of this question in this thread of treating other posters is outrageous and everyone of them ought to hang their heads in shame.

Why does this debate, which has been going on lots longer than anyone here has been around, evoke such a lack of respect?

There are two on the free-will side of recent arrival that are especially guilty of this. If everyone would read Amy's post, and DHK and Old Regular's posts, one could see how to exchange ideas in a sane and respectful manner.

It is everyone's responsibility to show respect. Thanks to DHK and others, about two months ago, I had to stop posting on threads about Catholics, because I was having my buttons pushed, and got angier each time without even realizing it.

The presupposition of this thread is that Calvinism is true. If it's true, my postulation is the only possible explanation for your non-acceptance of it. There was no vitriol whatever. It was a completely objective answer to the evidence that you presented.

No cotton where I live. To cool for cotton, but I do pick peas, beans, corn, okra, tomatoes, peppers, blueberries and other assorted fruits and veggies. :tongue3: The freezer is full!

Thanks OldRegular! I do so love the LORD!

Ernie Ford was from Tennessee and he said pea-pikin heart. That is good enough for me!
