We often hear the term "liberal media"

What is your definition of the "LM"

What examples do you have of the "LM"

dont be vague - be specific!!

Not much left of the so-called Liberal Media. The closest thing may be MSNBC, along with specialized pubs like The Nation. Most TV, radio, and print are in the hands of the likes of Rupert Murdoch.

    Here's a good example, heh:

"Too Good To Be True? Obama Iraq Troop Greeting Allegedly Staged

We were pre-screened, asked by officials “Who voted for Obama?”, and then those who raised their hands were shuffled to the front of the receiving line. They even handed out digital cameras and asked them to hold them up.
Take a look at the picture at AP and notice all the cameras are the same models? Coincidence? I think not."

This is exactly the kind of example I was looking for.
For fairness, I would have like to have 2 or 3 more witnesses to confirm the story.

On the converse, it makes me think about the story (and picture) of a US Army (Ranger?) who crossed his fingers while shaking hands with Sen Clinton. If not mistaken, he was a NY resident. The cross fingers indicate a signal of distress.
    - can anyone find a link for that picture?)

    Any more examples?

A good example of the liberal media is CNN. For example, during the Bush administration (despite the fact it had many liberal element in it), CNN harped on Iraq, how bad things were going, and the casualties. Now one barely hears about Iraq. It is funny. Almost our total perception of any situation overseas or away from us is formed by the media. Our troops are pretty much doing their day to day routine as they were last year.

A very bad ice storm hit our area at the end of January knocking out power, gas, supplies, and traveling for quite some time. It was on the news a few days. Just because they stopped covering the story does not mean that families are not still feeling the effects of the storm.

FOX news tends to be more balanced when they cover the news. As of late, it seems they have become a magazine channel, covering the lives of the rich and famous and the latest local murder case.

I think Drudge Report does a fairly good job of covering the news, as does some of the short wave channels.

    What a crock!

The liberal media consists of the big three TV network stations, CBS, ABC, and NBC with NBC being the worst. Then there are the cable channels, MSNBC, CNBC, and CNN.

Most of the large newspapers in the country are leftist with New York Times, Los Angeles Times, the Atlanta Constitution, one down in Miami, and St, Petersburg Times probably being the worst. I would expect any newspaper from Sodom by the Sea to be of the same ilk. The Washington Post is certainly ultra liberal but apparently not as bad as the ones above. Then there are Newsweek, Time, the Nation, Mother Earth and numerous other leftist rags..

The leftists control Hollywood and any movie with a political message is certainly going to be left leaning.

It is true that the Fox news Channel is fair and balanced but would be called right wing by some folks on this Forum. Most talk radio is conservative only because people won't listen to the leftist garbage put out by people like Al Franken and Air America.

JC, do you have any concrete evidence to add, or just reactionary allegations?

The liberal media is defined by those who refused to dig into Obama's background and crooked associations but had a thrill run up their leg when he spoke. An example of their liberalism is the dozens of reporters who went to Alaska to find dirt on Governor Palin and continue to dump on her.

What do you mean by proof? This whole topic is a matter of opinion. I said it's an example of far right media distortion to paint this unfounded picture of the commander in chief.

No personal insults there, chief; just a statement that you made allegations without anything to back it up. The latin term for that is a factual statement.

    Example of liberal media bias:

"Coverage" by CNN's "reporter" Susan Roesgen at a Tea Party...be warned, it's hard to watch. She outright antagonizes a man with a two-year old...and then lies about the event:

    SOURCE

She then claims that the event is "anti-government, anti-CNN, and is put on by the Right Wing Fox Network."

THAT, my friends, is the Liberal media.

As usual, JC can't stick to the topic. The OP is for Liberal Media.

As for proof, he just spews his vitriol toward anything with which he disagrees.

Excellent example rbell. I saw that. Apparently MSNBC talking heads used expletives that were beeped out on Fox.
