One of the co-hosts of the liberal Stephanie Miller show stated today that the Occupy Wall Street groups do not hate most business- what they despise is greed.

That could mean some of the Wall St "1%", but that without a doubt must include many of the greedy union leadership.

Just curious, how many greedy Union bosses have you heard of that received multi millioin bonuses each year. I am not saying there are no greedy union folk, but lets keep it in perspective. I don't know what the salary is for union leaders. Maybe someone can tell us. Also, I do not know of any union leaders who received multiple million severance packages for failure as has many company presidents and bank presidents.

Greed is not based upon how much bonuses someone receives, but their heart. I will say that there are some CEO's who deserve more bonuses than they receive.

As well, the bonus structure is a way around limits the federal government has placed on pay for upper management. It is my opinion that we should not put any limits on what people make, then bonuses could truly become bonuses, not a way around federal legislation that has encouraged bonuses for failure rather than encourage bonuses for true success.

Nobody requires anyone to send a TV preacher money in order to get a job like the union bosses do.

A TV preacher wont commit vandalism against someone who doesnt send in the money like the union bosses do.

Would you like some more examples?

I doubt many would call me a liberal. However I do not support unions as a Christian. It is impossible ot be part of a union and be obediant to scripture.
Colossians 3:22-24, told believers to work for their master as if they were working for the Lord.
1 Peter 2:18-24, counseled Christians to suffer indignity at the hands of masters rather than retaliate.

Note I said bonuses for CEO's and others in failed or failing businesses. This is greed. Also, I am not sure anyone really deserves a bonus in the millions of dollars. Why not spread some of that among the workers who made the success possible?

Without the bonuses the CEO's get no, that is Zero, compensation. The bonus is their pay. It is not on top of their pay. Just ask the CEO's of Freddie and Fannie. They are in the same boat. I wonder why they are not being accused of being greedy when they have failed and are yet again asking for bailouts. Quite the hypocrisy from the left.

The reason they are given bonuses is because the company was limited in salary because of federal regulations. In order to get a CEO, they promise bonuses as a way around that law. Otherwise, the CEO will go to another company that will give this same CEO the bonuses.

The problem is not with the bonuses, but with the regulations imposed by the Federal Government. If the Fed will get rid of those regulations, bonuses will be bonuses instead of a way around the regulations.

Thus, I am not against them making bonuses because the government regulates something they shouldn't. If government got out of the regulating pay, then bonuses would only be paid when bonuses are justified.

Yet, even in this situation, greed is not the giving of bonuses, but the heart of people.

Can't vouch for bonuses or severance packages, but I have seen them traveling in Learjets/Citations/Beechjets whenever an IAM contract was being negotiated. Seemed a bit hypocritical to me to be flying around like "greedy company president" when the rank and file was footing the bill.

You have been drinking from the same cup as the ones that use that as an excuse to fleece the stockholders.

Rank and file footing the bill?

Was there a special "corporate jet" deduction from their wages or where they sent a seperate invoice?

Who do you think votes for these things? The Board of Directors who are nominated and voted upon by the stock holders.

    Liberals don't hate unions.

They find them to be useful money laundering conduits.

Millions in federal taxpayer money goes in...

...and hundreds of thousands in Democrat campaign contributions come out.

Greed is not bound by corporate board rooms or union halls. It is inherent in our nature and without Christ most, if not all, will use every advantage at their disposal to satisfy their desire for more.

Also, a poor person can be as guilty of greed as a rich person can. Being somewhat poor myself I don't really like saying this, but it is true. The bible says the "love of money" is the root of all evil, not the having of it. A poor person can be as motivated by the desire to have more as anyone else.

Well that is a little simplified. If you own any stocks then you should know that you have never had an opportunity to nominate anyone on your own. Those who have the controlling shares along with the existing board do the nominating and you just get to say yes to someone who they picked. When you say no they still get in because you do not have the controlling shares.
That is why heads of companies surround themselves with people who are in support them. They give them big bonuses to keep them loyal. It is all about greed.
