This year when I got my new license plates I ordered a personalized plate with ACTS 238 on it.

With the number of people who could potentially see your license plate evry day I think it's an ideal tool for witnessing.

    Anybody else do this?

I don't have a personalized one, but I think they are great!

I've seen several that I think are clever, such as:

    1-E-TA (Juanita)

IM LATE (On a white volkswagen rabbit--remember the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland?)

I forgot about this one, which I think refers to Romans 8:28:

I wonder. Would the characters "ACTS 238" mean anything to anyone who wasn't a Christian? In today's increasingly secular society, how many people who notice your car's plates while driving along would even know that "Acts" is the name of a book in the bible? But perhaps you meant that people you know might see your number plate, and later ask you if it is personalised, and that would then give you the opportunity for witness.

By the way, I am assuming that you are linking your licence plate to Acts 2.38, and not Acts 23.8:

8 For Sadducees say that there is no resurrection––and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.

    :)

    Oh, my, let's hope it's 2:38!

Of course, everyone, with this kind of license plate you realize you have to be a gentleman or gentle lady when you drive! :saint:

By the way, unfortunately Japan has no such vanity plates. The same for everyone, that's Japan's motto.

Why John... Are you implying that we don't (or wouldn't) have to be 'gentle' unless we have a Scripture license plate?

Oh, "I am Blessed 17," I'm sure you are a gentle lady all the time. But please don't ask my wife about when I get behind the wheel! Like the time on furlough when I sped through a Michigan village without noticing. An officer stopped me and said, "Do you know how fast you went through the town?" I said, "Yeah, my wife just told me." [IMG](And he let me off, though he did seem to be stifling a laugh or two....)

But for the record, I didn't have vanity plates....

LOL!!! I spent over 31 yrs as a Funeral Director, so a majority of the time I was driving a hearse at work.

I don't have any problem driving, unless someone taps me on the shoulder from behind while I'm driving.

"Prepare to Meet Thy God" would be a good sign for the back of a hearse!

Have to hit the sack. It's late Sunday evening here in Japan.
