Florida Baptist Theological College is now the Baptist College of Florida. The website for the school has also changed. It is www.baptistcollege.edu.

I was also told when I visited the school back in February that within the next few years they hope to be Florida Baptist University, as they intend to start offering Masters degrees.

West Coast Baptist College (# 86 on first list and 153 on second list) is located in Lancaster, California. It's affiliation is Independent Fundamental (is that an affiliation?) it's web site is: http://www.lancasterbaptist.org

As far as when it was founded?... I'm not exactly sure... I'll have to get back to you on that one.

I didn't think University of Richmond was Baptist anymore? Their website states that it is "historically related to the Baptist General Association of Virginia," but I though that there was the big "gay controversy" a few years ago that separated the school from the Baptists, except in historical association (and the Baptist Student Union).

Bob Jones started as a Methodist college in Florida, moved to Cleveland, Tenn. and later to Greenville,SC. They are still Methodists throu.gh and through. They have produced nothing but Methodists who call themselves Baptists. The
"Baptists" they produce are really on Methodists that baptise by immersion. They teach and tolerate all Armenian doctrine and totally abhor the true teachings of real Baptists - the absolute sovereign grace of God over all things.
I also see freewill colleges named. Freewill and Baptist is an oximoron. Study Church History and you will find out what Baptists truly believe and
who they were. Merely displaying a name does not make one to be what he claims. Also please note who the University is named after. Bob Jones openly despised roman popery but in the same breath sought to be one himself. II Tim 3:1-9, II Tim 4:1-4, II Peter 2:1-3, Luke 21:8, Gal.6:7

    To Illinois boy:
BJU is at best a bunch of "pharisees" who believe their righteousness was "in doing right". Our rightousness is in the works of Christ and His Sacrifice upon the Tree not in the faith we conjure up and the filthy rags we endeavour to present to Him. Isa. 64:6 I all never EVER met a "preacher boy" from BJU who was more than a milk man feeding baby "Corithians". The only worth
while speaker I ever heard speak at BJ was Paisley
and he was not one of their grads. I have heard a
few that could chew meat and shepherd their flock
correctly but they had "excommunicated" by Pope
Bob II for preaching God's truth. Real Baptist truth is an option at Bob's place. I know I was there for about three weeks before being asked to leave because they would not receive the truth that REAL BAPTISTS believe. They appear as whited sceplecures clean on the outside but are really
full of dead mens bones and debauchery. Matt.23:12-35 They crank out molded toy soldiers doing homeage to BJU and not the TRUE CHRIST. This is not to say that many other "Christian"
intitutions do the same. BJU is probably the most open about it but also is one of the worst about despising the truth of the Biblical LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ.

    Faith:
    Baptist
The first Baptist's were mostly General Baptist not Particular.
Why did you go to a school if you didn't agree with the doctrine they taught? Although I don't agree with BJU they don't leave much mystery about what they teach.

What is this truth that REAL BAPTISTS believe and BJU doesn't? Please inform us specifically what makes them not baptist.

This is open slander. Proverbs 10:18
You may not like BJU but you definitly should never slander a man of God's good name. He won many souls to the Lord.

If you are including seminaries, please include Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary in Allen Park, MI. See www.dbts.edu for more information. To comment on the Bob Jones University issue, while they are nowhere "in print" a Baptist school, they are a recommended educational institution for a number of solidly Baptist churches. Being a graduate of BJU, I know the majority of their Bible faculty are Baptists.

You all have not mentioned Southeastern College at Wake Forest. This has nothing to do with Wake Forest University. Southeastern College at Wake Forest, along with Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, is located on the old Wake Forest College (University) campus in Wake Forest, NC (just north of Raleigh, NC).

Southeastern College at Wake Forest is a very fine Conservative Southern Baptist school. I highly recommend its BA in Biblical Studies and History of Ideas double major. [IMG]

I disagree with all of you who tout their college as "the best." Am I saying that no college is the best? No. I am just saying that Pensacola Christian College is the best. [IMG] Its website is www.pcci.edu and it is Independent Baptist, pro-KJV, and non-accredited. If the statistics I read were correct, then PCC is even larger than BJU. My advice is to check it out; believe me, it is worth it.
