Not exactly a right wing rag...

But they joke about lots of stuff for the "Live Earth" nonsense...
    • "To make up for all the jetting and limo-riding around our stars did, we'll have to plant 100,000 trees to make up for their damage to the environment." Hey, Madonna can do it...because she cares.
    • Many people in London seemed clueless about the purpose:
    • Irony...folks were being lectured to turn stuff off...and they were followed by Genesis, who sang, "Turn it on again."
My opinion? Waste of time. But the greenies have set themselves up well. If we cool off, they'll take the credit for it (or simply deny we're cooler). If not, they'll blame Americans, and they'll cripple us with their worthless legislation. Either way, they look good.

    yup.

And on the whole news item itself... I couldn;t help but think along the same lines as well...

    *all the fuel used
*all the electricity used (I used to mess with the small time gigs and what-not and you talk about energy use!)
*all the fuel used by the fans
    *the energy of the arena
*the energy of the generators on those buses
*the energy used by the fans at the hotels, diners, etc
*the eneergy used by the news media to cover it all
*all the hot air produced by the greenies

Had some greenie propaganda in one of newspapers today, but was bit cool to go outside and burn it, so just sitting inside with heater turned right up until it warms a bit :)

Bluegrass is really fun, in small doses.

The "greeny's" of all stripes used to have get togethers in the great northwest, and the trash collected afterward by state and/or county workers was remarkable in its inordinate volume.

I remember some of those "gatherings" . Around here they were called "Rainbow People". They usually trashed the area they were camped in and destroyed many trees. Yet they spouted such messages as love for nature, etc.

    Hmmmmmmmm:rolleyes:
