    Why are my posts disappearing?
The one quoted by LeBuick seems to be totally gone, along with a few others I have noticed.

I want to read through these links when I get more time later but according to your first link Obama attended this "Muslim school" from the 1st to 3rd grade. So he studied the Quaran as a 6 year old? I don't know what that means???

Points one and three are meaningless - anything could be contained in the ellipsis.

Point 2. I don't care what he did when he was five. If we had chosen to put ours children in school here they would have been in Catholic school. Would that make them Catholics?

Point 4, if it is what it appears to be would concern me. However, I would have to investigate it further.

I have plenty of reasons to not support Obama, none of them have to do with being a muslim.

But if the political winds shifted against muslims, I might stand with them, as well. I'm against treating people differently just because they don't share my hope of eternity, and don't want to see any religion made an enemy by the state.

But the above information does not substantiate another claim of yours:

I politely suggest that people are indeed playing fast and loose with facts, squeezing unjustifiable conclusions from sparse and rather soft data.

I suggest that we all know that childhood exposure to certain religious observances and even teachings is an extremely dubious predictor of the ultimate values of the adult that emerges. I can think of many friends raised in a loosely Catholic environment that have entirely repudiated the values of Catholocism that they were exposed to.

In short, the specific facts really do not substantiate what it is sometimes being implied (and sometimes directly stated) in the various threads in this forum, namely that Mr. Obama is a Muslim or was a Muslim in childhood and, more generally, that Muslim ideas and values have informed his value system.

The facts presented to date do not really support such assertions.

And trying to establish such associations by "videos" which show Mr. Obama standing next to a camel represent the worst of the way the "world" does politics. Such tactics are not part of the obedient Christian's behaviours.

Just a question for enlightenment on the Muslims and what Muslims teach concerning their own converting to the Christian faith. Does anybody know how a Muslim is taught to respond to a Muslim that converts to the Christian faith?
    Thanks.

Hardly significant. The fact that a half-brother converted to Islam is almost valueless in respect to determining Mr. Obama's beliefs. I am proud of my own full brother - who is as far as I know a non-believer. This does not mean that I adopt and use the purely secular values of my brother.

Again, of little or no value in respect to establishing where Mr. Obama is coming from. As a teenager, I studied Hindu writings. I am now a Christian and disavow any sympathies to the Hindu world-view (as I understand it).

I was raised by my grandparents and looked to my grandfather for guidance. My grandfather was, as far as I know, a non-believer. Some of the values he communicated to me were not consistent with the gospel. As an adult, I believe I have chosen to follow the gospel path.

And Christians should stand with any group - Muslims, Wiccans, whatever - should that group be victimized. To stand with them does not imply adoption of their values.

All of these statements have very little, if any value, in asserting that Mr. Obama's values have been informed by Islam.

Barack Obama has never, ever been a Muslim. There is absolutely no evidence of such. It is clear that anyone who claims otherwise is very, very badly misinformed.

Posts calling or insinuating other BB members are liars or bearing false witness were deleted. There is a difference in stating another member is misinformed rather than being called a "liar" or accused of "bearing false witness" - personal attacks which are against the board rules. Play nice.

You seem to be rather one-sided when it comes to strict enforcement of the rules.
