    Longer days won't fix education. Neither will longer school years, more money for teachers, more teachers, new education programs, or any one of a dozen other "solutions".

    The problem is uninvolved, uncaring parents and I don't think there is a fix for it.

    That's what I call a direct hit! A 24 hour/7 day/52 week school won't fix that problem.
