Hello I am looking for an online chart to read the bible through in a year. The type of chart I am looking for is a chronogical event chart, does anyone know of a site that might have this information?

I don't, but there is a very inexpensive NIV Bible,
in paperback, which is intended for reading
through the Bible in one year, chronologically.
Called The Daily Bible, it is put out by Harvest
Publishers out of Eugene, OR, USA.

    Hi jax,

Read 4 -5 chapters a day, depending on length. That does it if you want to read straight through. I have done this a number of times in different years. It gives quite a perspective on the whole thing!

If you are not concerned about reading it straight through, the forum above this one has four different readings a day from different parts of the Bible, and that also gets you through in a year.

Chronologically, most modern Bibles have timelines in the front or back and you can read according to that, so that the prophets get inserted in the proper places in the historical books.

That's really neat, Barnabas, but Matthew after Deuteronomy??? :D

I understand what they are doing, but if the prophecies fulfilled and referenced by Matthew are to make any sense, perhaps they should be read before Matthew is read.....

Still, it's a good outline for that sort of thing. If Job is the Jobab of Genesis 10:29, however, I would suggest Job be read after Genesis 10, or at least after 11:10a.

Thank you for your responses. After looking over this chart I do have a few questions, was the beast mentioned in Job extinct after the flood? (Does anyone know?)We are studying fossils and disputing the myth of fossils being millions of years old.
And is this chart in order of event or the date written? A friend of mine had a chart that had 1 Chronicles after Genesis 9 or Job (not sure).

jax, these animals are definitely post-flood. The Chinese called them dragons, so did the Europeans. There are reports from the Americas, Egypt, China, India, and various places in Europe in ancient records, art, and stories of various types of these animals being around.

When God spoke to Job, God was describing animals Job knew firsthand.

The millions of years old is due to radiometric dating, which presumes the rate of radiodecay is constant. It is not. If you need more detailed nformation cruise around the evolution/creation forum (which is accessible even though it is closed for the month) or feel free to email us privately at
