I'm in no danger of hellfire because I'm a daughter of the King. I am not angry - I pity you.

    From the Cambridge Dictionary
    noun ( PERSON )
    [IMG][IMG]/fuːl/ n

[C] a person who behaves in a silly way without thinking

In Psalms 14 the word "fool" is # 5036
    see link here

I think Ann is referring to the dictionary definition, as I listed above. There is a great difference in the two meanings.

I have to agree with annsi on this one. If her husband budgeted out a small portion of money for entertainment with his friends & stuck to that budget then it would be no different than if he spent the same amount going to dinner & a sporting event (ie NFL/NBA game) with his friends. The problem with gambling is not being good stewards with your money & the addiction it can lead to. But if he had the will power not to overspend what he normally would (for entertainment) & did not make gambling his habitual lifestyle, then it really is not biblically problematic. Sure you can say its coveting, but you really have no proof in that accusation-- b/c you don’t know his heart & 2nd some people just like the competition factor that games such as poker allow them to have with their friends (not how much they are able to put in their wallet after winning). Now I’m sure everyone’s not going to agree with my assessment---but I put controversial issues that are not clearly forbidden in Scripture under the Romans 14 rule---if your conscience allows it & you don’t cause your brother to stumble then it can be permissible under the right circumstances.

And I'll reveal more of my husband's heart: he doesn't love to play these games but he loves the time to speak to the unsaved and doing so in something that is not harmful and not against the Word of God. He wasn't "holier than thou", he spent $20, and we still have contact 20 years later with these men who he spent time with. He's had no desire to do any casino stuff since then but if given that same opportunity, he'd do the same thing again - just for the people contact. :)

Why don't you go climb back into the hole where you came from, Gerald Schumacher? You are nothing but an angry little man without any friends. I'm not doubting your salvation here, but a Christian is one that acts in a Christian manner. Your manner is anything but Christian. You have deceived yourself into believing a whole slew of lies. You've created a little website on the Internet and think that you are the authority on everything.
