Just a bit ago it was only the interruption of the President.

Exactly. Let's review the sequence of posts and refresh MP's memory, shall we?

    Revmitchell posted:

    MP posted in response:

So, in MP's own words, the first (and biggest) issue is that Wilson simply interrupted the President.

Now that you are called on that statement, MP brings rudeness into it.

Like I said earlier, it's ok to admit fault in your earlier statement. We will all forgive you (at least I will).

You boys need to take reading comprehension. That is exactly what I said. The rudeness of interrupting the president speaking is the main issue. What is so hard about that? The interruption IS the rudeness.

    Great...so answer this simple question:

If Wilson, or anyone else, had interrupted the President and yelled out, "You're right!", would that also be rude and would you also be calling that person a "Loudmouth"?

    1. It was rude.
    2. It showed lack of respect for both the office of the president and for congress.
    3. It broke centuries old tradition.
    4. It showed immaturity on Wilson's part.

The Republican frantic fringe is showing panic, racism, and a complete abandonment of any family values and Christian values they so proudly claimed in the late 1990's. Instead of giving a soft answer to turn away wrath the screech insuring wrath.

Now, of course, I know the frantic fringe here will start screaming about the use of the word racism. But it is there and we, as a nation, need to have some honest discussions on this topic.

Shall we start a thread on the topic?

But the incivility is popping up all over our culture ... look at the shamful example in both the mens and womens tennis matches last week.

Yes, please start a thread on the topic. Make sure in the opening post to supply proof (your know that stuff in the pudding) that Republican party is displaying racism towards Obama.

The only frantic out there are the ones who interject race when someone disagrees with the President and then uses race in a broad sense in order to defend it since it cannot be defended narrowly and specifically. It is a poor and unconvincing tactic and only exposes the lack of support for their very own agenda.

The West incident was rabid racism.

Which is the same thing. Sheesh. He shouted, he interrupted, it was rude. All the same. Are you sure English isn't a second language for you?

It sure was, but West got what he wanted -- 15 more minutes of notoriety.

Here's the question you are avoiding, one more time.

If Wilson, or anyone else, had interrupted the President and yelled out, "You're right!", would that also be rude and would you also be calling that person a "Loudmouth"?

Of course it's the "Republican fringe."

Not the plain old fringe, because that would lose an opportunity to bash.

By the way -- Mr. Obama is half white, half black. So I'll limit my critique to his white parentage.

    Does that work?

(By the way -- this whole idea of race is the spawn of darwinsim, and we should abandon it. Yet we can't as certain interest groups are far too invested in the concept).

And again, you have a reading comprehension problem. Let me direct you to where I answered it very plainly and then I will stand by for your apology for saying I am avoiding it. Go to post number 30 of this very thread and read very carefully the very last sentence of my post.

    I await your apology.

A southern gentleman would never be disrespectful to a lady.

I hope that depends on what Hilary would have said.
