    Is this Gods response to Dobsons arrogance as leader of Focus on the Family? trying to manipulate Him to hurt a fellow believer.

    <edited out - WAY OVERSIZED IMAGE!! LE>

    We all pray for dissipation eventhough God has been stirred to anger by James Dobson we ask for mercy, yes even for Dobson.

    People are more important than oil platforms and perhaps the good Lord is just going to steal some wealth and not hurt a soul, I hope and pray,Dobson learns a lesson in accountability.

    Yes, I admit I am mad at Dobson and his ministry he started this weather praying to hurt others!!!

    Speaking of prayers and weather, there’s an ironic coda to this storm watch. The Focus on the Family Web site, plaything of Dr. James Dobson, the insufferable curmudgeon of the fading Christian right, ran a video earlier this month calling up on the faithful to pray for rain to drench Barack Obama’s outdoor acceptance speech last night in Denver.

    Criticized for this inanity, they tried to claim it was a joke.

    Apparently the weather gods were not amused. The weather at Invesco Field last night: warm and clear with a fresh breeze.

    Now, I don’t for a second believe that the Almighty tinkers with the weather to influence elections, particularly one as diabolically petty and dispiriting as this one became over the summer.

    But for those who apparently do, I wonder what messages they’re divining from this week's multicolored swirls on the map in USA Today.

    I cannot prove God is mad at Dr. Dobson all I know is this, he started this with his stamp of approval on bringing harm in the form of weather, to be even he backed off and said it was only a joke but personally I don't believe him.

    Well at least we do know that He has a sense of humor. Be careful what you pray for whether you do it as a joke or for real.

    Can you show a quote from Dr. Dobson that HE prayed for rain on the convention?

    I think not. I have discussed this with you on another thread and via PM. You are slandering a brother in Christ with falsehoods.

    Dr. Dobson being the Chairman of the Board of Focus on the Family does not mean that he prayed for this or said this. It was another individual in the organization. Dr. Dobson does not have absolute rule on every word that is said by the staff at FOTF. He is not even the president any longer.

    This is an example of a true cheap shot. Knowing it is false but making it anyway to have a reason to belittle him.

    I am closing this thread because it is based on false information about Dr. Dobson in response to a Moderator Alert. As far as anyone wishing anything on a Convention, it was Michael Moore re: Gustav.

    Here is the link:

    I heard personally from Dr. Dobson when he was questioned about the charge posed in the OP that it was a staff member and when he found out about it, it was pulled from the web site. Hope that clears things up.
