I have never even heard of such a thing! What is a Madea movie?

    Is it raunchy?

The movies are the creation of Tyler Perry. More info here - www.tylerperry.com/_Home

I have only seen "Family Reunion". I think it is a good movie. Funny and serious.

Madea is the primary character of these Tyler Perry movies. She is a large African American women (actually played by Tyler Perry.) No, not raunchy, though the humor is a bit sophomoric at times. Also, some of the subject matter is tough, though very real life (incest, drug addiction, spousal abuse). My favorite is the Diary of Mad Black Woman -- a story of redemption, even with the advice of "putting Jesus first in your life."

Mad black woman is my favorite, too, although I saw I can do bad all by myself last night and it ranks a second.

Madea goes to jail was hilarious.

LOL, no they aren't. They are good movies, they use a lot of biblical prinicples to address life situations.

About five minutes of one that I don't know the name of. The profanity and blasphemy in that movie makes me glad I've never seen more of them.

I didn't see any profanity in either of the ones I watched. And I guess it would depend on what a person call blasphemy to know if I saw any.

I've thought about seeing them, but was unsure of what they'd be like. I might try watching one sometime.

My wife and I went to see "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" this week. A very good movie.
