    So is this an advertisement for Maranatha in general? :smilewinkgrin:

    seriously though, I have a brother who is IFB & he was bound & determined that his son MUST go to BJU. He went & washed out. Would this Maranatha U have been a better choice for him?

    And on a personal note, since I cant find a Reformed Baptist Church in my area, should I consider a Maranatha Church? NOTE I am DoG with an adversion to Dispy & Covenant Theologies so Im not doing either.

    In answer to your questions:

    • No, it's letting folks know of a forty five year old school's name change.
    • Maybe
    • If by a Maranatha Church you mean a church pastored by a Maranatha grad, who knows. MBBC grads are a diverse lot. But, in the main they are dispensational in their theology.

    If it helps, I am a Maranatha Grad (first grad of their seminary, Dec 1970). Happy to answer questions about the school.

    My wife earned BA in 1970
    My oldest son and his wife BS in 1997
    My second son and his wife BS and BSN in 1996
    My daughter BS in 1998 and married a prof there
