March Madness is here. There have already been some great games.

Syracuse winning the Big East Tournament.

Duke and BC in the ACC title contest was a GREAT game.

I am sure there are many more to come.

Let's get ready for the tourney to begin!

And Duke won! I wasn't sure they'd do this year. But it was a great game. Most ACC games this year were really good. :D

Now, will Wake get to go to the NIT? I say yes, Ron says no.

I agree that my Vols did not deserve to be a 2 seed. 3 seed or 4 seed was more likely. 4 of UT's losses came in the last six games. Problem is, you had some higher rated teams (GW and Gonzaga are two) that had worse RPI, schedule strength and power ratings from weaker conferences. Interesting draw for my boys. Winthrop's coach has been a finalist for the UT job twice.

Well I have made my final four picks for our bracket challenge.

    Here are my picks:

    Duke
    Kansas
    UConn
    Boston College

    Duke v. UConn in finals

    Duke winning 78-75

I love Duke, i have always loved them since the early ninties, but this year they don't have what it takes to win the tourny.

Tenn is a very high choice at #2 ... has anyone looked at their last 15 games?

Teams that will be upset ... Texas, Tenn & Illnois ... possibly Oklahoma.

Uconn is going the take the championship.

They probably won't get to the Sweet 16, but Roy Williams at UNC has done one of the finest coaching jobs ever in the ACC.

They have to get past Kentucky... [/QB]</font>[/QUOTE]Which they will do, easily....if UK can get by UAB, which beat UK a couple years back in the tourney when UK was a #1 seed.
People forget some things about my Vols. They played one of the top five toughest schedules in the country. Granted, they limped down the stretch, but a close loss to Memphis, 2 victories over Florida, a blowout win at Texas. 12-4 overall in a power conference. The Vols are not chopped liver, guys.

    I agree...

    My final 4 are:

    Villanova
    Texas
    Kansas
    Mich St

Villanova winning over Texas 82-79 in the title game.

Being a SEC fan I hope they win, but have my doubts.

I am from Texas and I wish I could agree with you. Texas has been over rated all year long. Anyone see the Duke game? ouch. They have some talent, but don't have what it takes to win it.

    Connecticut
    Texas
    Memphis
    Villanova

Connecticut over Texas for the national championship.

BTW, has any school won a national championship in both football and basketball in the same school year? I haven't a clue, but Texas has a good chance to either join some very elite company, or be the first.

They also won the NCAA baseball championship. I don't think any team has won 3 in same season.

It would not be 3 in the same season. They won the baseball championship last year. For it to be 3 in the same season their Basketball team would have to win the tourney, plus their baseball team would have to repeat.

But Texas has definitely had some good sports teams recently.
