Marine has Message for Sen. Reid

Fortunately, this Marine doesn't decide which wars our country fights in. The majority of the American people want us out of Iraq, and that is exactly where we will be going, just as soon as this president is replaced with a democrat.

 

This Marine is one of many warriors our nation has sent to fight a completely just and completely legal war as authorized by the Congress that represents us and carried out by the President that leads us. Now that we're deep into it and things are a bit more difficult than some think we can bear - not this Marine or the rest of the warriors - and want to drop it all, give in to our enemies, and toss out the gains already made. Nothing would lost by this action for those in Congress - disgusting politicians - who're complaining now and seeking to sink the ship. It would just be written off by them as a loss for those that have been making the sacrifices asked - no, demanded - of them. They're okay with America being a looser because they are loosers. Not so fast, you fair weather friends, because you've played this evil trick on us before! Our warriors want a full and complete victory to this just and legal war and they're willing and able to get it for us. They want their legacy to be one of victory for our nation - not one of giving up because it was hard for some to take. That's what every warrior wants. They're not quitters like Senator Ried and many others. They don't whine and complain about how difficult the job is. They're busy getting it done and making adjustments as necessary. They're not complaining and, as for the American people, I don't believe for even a minute that the real majority are ready to give it up either. Fortunately, in a Republic, such as ours, decisions are made according to the rule of law and not by today's instant majority. There's enough momentum in the process to hopefully forgo the mistakes of such whimsical changes in direction.

 

If we ask Americans if they want us out od Iraq then you will get a 100% vote. But if you ask Americans do they want us to abandon the Iraqis right now at any cost the numbers will change the other direction significantly. I do hope that the dems keep believing that a Dem is a done deal in 08.

 

If all the troops were pulled back to our borders and used to inspect containers and people comming here we would be as "safe" as possible.

 

That's a different subject, isn't it? Never the less, securing our borders against illegal aliens as well as rounding up and shipping home all those already here is yet another thing we should be aggressively pursuing because it is also would be completely just and completely legal. But, of course, some lack resolve for that as well.

 

Any facts to back this up? Polls? Stats?

You're makin sense here, at least in that we should worry more about our borders and the people that are here vers trying to "police" the rest of the world.

I am afraid you will see another 9-11, and it will have nothing to do with if we're in Iraq or not. We're not paying attention to our own backyard.

Which is what will happen if a democrat is elected President.

 

First off, we will get rid of this corrupt Bush administration. It is rotten through and through.

 

It would not be illegal for the President to order the military to secure our borders in response to the "invasion" by illegal aliens that's been on-going for decades. There's nothing in the law that prevents such action and considering the gravity of the situation it should be considered. It would be better if it were done by the Border Patrol - and local law enforcement - but since they seem overwhelmed and constrained then something more effective is needed. It would be better not to use the military for such purposes because it detracts from their primary war fighting missions but, again, given the gravity of the situation it would be "fighting a war" against an "invasion". It would absolutely need to be part of an all out effort on every front to solve the problem.

 

Yeah, right, and more people we can send to jail for doing their jobs.

Then the two border patrol agents will have more company, feel less lonely, and all that jazz.

Neither do the "majority of the American people." The President does. And he did. We don't run wars by popular vote.

And how do you know this? So far as I know, the majority of American people have never been asked. We have, at most, asked a thousand or so people at a time.

Given the Democrats penchant for totally messing up in elections, it is not all that likely that they would win.

 

This is not a source. This is an opinion piece quoting "sources" without any links to back him up. You have to be able to read the questions in order to know how the answers are to be taken. A Poll can be asked in any number of manners to make the answers come out however you would like.

Also, like Pastor Larry stated, the Majority of Americans haven't been asked. Only a select handful.

Why don't we put it to a vote. We have seen that the Iraq people can vote, so let them vote on if they think we should stay or go. Hum.. I doubt anyone would put this "new democracy" to a true test like that...

Because teh constitution does not leave military decisions to votes, much less votes of foreigners.
