If Karl Rove broke a law that is punishable by jail time - yes.

If it is proven that he was the source, would that be "giving aid and comfort to the enemy?"

Not knowing any more than I do about the situation I am not prepared to go that far - yet.

I have no interest in the name, ASLANSPAL.

Fine. If you want to call Mr. Rove a traitor, go ahead. If you want to call me a Nazi, go ahead. If you want to call me a racist, go ahead.

Frankly, people are getting upset in this forum. People are getting their feelings hurt in this forum. And I know I am simply going to have to learn to let ya'll attack people I like and support, even when I think ya'll are doing so unfairly, without debating ya'll about it so as not to cause a ruckus.

I enjoy a good, hard debate but it just ain't worth it if people are going to get so upset when challenged to provide proof. It just ain't worth it. [IMG]

Oh, but I don't think Rove is directly responsible for the leak. He did not ascend to the position he has attained by being stupid enough to leak a name directly to the media.

KenH I gave you a counter point you said toad
was wrong...but what about what bush calls him
...simple. You would not go there because it meant
discovery something worse..from the mouth of
    a President.

Bush has been fired before reference below so
he can and does make mistakes.

Not The First Time: Rove and Novak
Rove Was Fired For Leaking A Damaging Story About GOP Fundraiser. Esquire's Ron Suskind reported that, "Sources close to the former president [George H.W. Bush] say Rove was fired from the 1992 Bush presidential campaign after he planted a negative story with columnist Robert Novak about dissatisfaction with campaign fundraising chief and Bush loyalist Robert Mosbacher Jr. It was smoked out, and he was summarily ousted." [White House Briefing, 9/29/03; Esquire, 1/2003 Issue]

I will not challenge you on your assertion, ASLANSPAL, and I retract my earlier challenge on the use of the word "traitor".

As for Rove being fired, if the Bush campaign thought that was necessary then I see no reason to question their decision to do so.

I have also heard that he leaked a story to Novak during the Reagan administration. That was one of the last points in the documentary "Bush's Brain."

I don't think he would do it again, especially given his status in this administration.

    Ken,

If I am wrong and he is the source, would you still "like and support" him?

NO! Giving aid and comfort to the enemy is what Dick Durbin and Teddy-Chappaquiddick-Kennedy do. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Okay Ken I will stand down as well it is obvious
I am biased against Rove and dislike what I
perceive he has done to my country...I will take
    more ownership. imho

make sure I let people know it is my opinion solely and not project it on others.

Bottom line after I count to ten if he has done
wrong is for him to repent.

I look forward to areas we can agree on that have
common consensus...and I will work on non escalation and post more links and facts.

Of course I wish you and your family well with
much blessing and I of course apologize in any
mis spent words that caused pain.

    sincerely
    Aslanspal

Will anyone be listening now if Cooper reveals anything on treasongate? A bombing in London, the worst since WW11, has just occured and of course al-qaida is suspected but now we see some new mysterious unknown group called the "al-qaida of Europe" claiming responsiblity. Why would the real terrorists want to interrupt an exploding investigation into high treason by Karl Rove with probable ties to Bush that could bring him down. The media is just beginning to become centered on Rove and the leak of the CIA agents identity so the last thing the terrorists would want is to be a distraction from that. Can you say black ops. This is very possibly and probably a U.S. black ops operation by those posing as terrorists and will no doubt leave a message that they are al-qaeda. Bush and Rove are on the hot seat like never before with treason the price. The media will be all over this bombing and no doubt forget Rove like they conveniently did before the election. Of course we do not know for sure the truth behind this but with this deceptive and destructive administration who would be surprised. From false claims of imminent dangers to perfectly timed terrorist alerts when the heat is on Bush to the imminent crisis of S.S. on and on. How much of all this must one take to finally no longer be naive. It was once believable but no longer. A grain of salt is required at the very least.

I thought this morning that someone would be mentioning this possibility, except I figured someone would say that it was done by the British government to take the heat off of Tony Blair.
