I don't believe there are any here who would disagree with what you have written here.

Along with annsi and Convicted, I have no problem with this as well. Jesus Christ justifies. Jesus lived the perfect life, I did not. Jesus is the one that paid my atonement on the cross. It's Jesus Christ and him alone that justifies.

Then why do you insist on making Gal 2:16 say that YOUR faith "IN" Christ is what justifies you? Do you think that man's faith justifies himself?

When you take what the Greek states over the KJV, and other versions that use the word "of", and then realize that the words "of" and "in" aren't in that passage to begin with. You are holding the KJV higher than the Greek words that Apostle Paul wrote, which were while he was under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. The original Greek trumps any translation. These Greek words are inspired, the KJV isn't....major difference.

Because that's the proper way to translate the Greek. We don't determine proper translations based on our doctrinal beliefs. Man's faith is from God. It's a gift from God. There are places even in the KJV that say faith in Christ. Romans 3:26 is one example. Faith is believing in Jesus. This faith comes from God. It is Jesus Christ that justifies. We are saved by grace. We don't/can't save ourselves. Romans 3:26 says believe/faith in Jesus. It also states that Jesus is the justifier of the one that has faith in Jesus. Saying faith in Christ in no way implies that man is the one that justifies. There is no way fallible man could possibly do this. Only the perfect lamb of God could do this.
