McCain renounces Hatemonger Hagee. Now if he will denounce Parsley. McCain rejects endorsement and Hagee withdraws it. Tit for tat!

Presidential candidates need to stay away from these so-called men of God. They are trouble.

That's what I did. Such a big deal was made over Rev. Wright, I figured Mr. Hagee deserved equal time for discussion.

Has Hagee been McCains's pastor for twenty years?

McCain calls Hagee statements “crazy and unacceptable”

STOCKTON, CA — Sen. McCain told reporters Thursday that he decided to renounce Hagee’s endorsement Thursday because the controversial pastor’s Hitler comments were “just too much.”

I missed the words "crazy and unacceptable" in the article. Here is what I read and heard on the radio.

I would appreciate your help in finding the words "crazy and unacceptable"

I am still wondering when candidates became responsible for the views of people who support them? That is, to me, nonsense. Should Obama be held responsible because Ken supports him? Or McCain be held responsible be RevMitchell supports him?

How about if we let people say what they want, including endorsements? Why doesn't a candidate stand up and say, "I am not responsible for that, and I don't agree with it. End of story"? Why does he have to repudiate it?

That was a new title a mod gave it. My original title was something about McCain has his own hatemongering preacher to denounce. But by editing the title, a mod made it look like I gave it that title and changed the entire point of my thread. Not even notice given of it. This abuse of moderator permissions is getting out of hand when titles are changed to reflect the opinion of a mod. Especially in that the new title is inaccurate, a mistake not made by me.

Apologies MP, I did not realise at the time that the combining of threads resulted in a new title. I will edit the title to make it more reflective.

Oh so that's what happened. My apologies as well for jumping to conclusions. It made it look like those were my words.

Well, I did not combine the threads so didn't know the history. Hopefully we are sorted now.
