I am so leary of McCain speaking to the crowd on hand. If this speech is his heart then he has my vote. But I am afraid that his record tells a different tale.

This is the first speech I have heard that made me think he might have the makings of a conservative.

Or at least his speech writer has "the makings of a conservative"!

I wish voters would ignore the debates, the news media and the campaign materials and speeches and vote based on the candidates record alone.
