A female pastor of a false church got back to me and I thought of the idea of meeting her in her office or so forth and in gentleness and respect reasoning with her about the error of her church and her teachings. I would make it clear I am married. My old pastor would do this kind of thing often with false teachers in attempts to persuade them. He was not a street evangelist but a apologist. A good idea or should I just attempt by phone?

1 Pet 3:15 NIV is a model verse for apologetics.

Ron Rhodes has many books arguing for doing this kind of thing with false teachers.

Well, before there is an issue with her false WoF teachings, bigger issue would be her being ordained as a pastor!

Why not have her and your wife go out to chat and do lunch?

Paul warned about entering into the false teachers' dialogue.
    Titus 3, NASB
9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.
And when someone has the difficulties in his spiritual walk that the OP obviously has, he should be home praying, fasting, studying and repenting, not out in the community stirring up strife with the false teachers who won't listen anyway.

When a man meets with a woman, another woman should be there with them or the door should be kept open. If you meet her at her church, then make sure that there is office staff around and she keeps her door open. If she won't do that, then don't meet.

But then again, I wouldn't go meeting with people in false churches anyway. I don't think it will be helpful at all.

Sometimes it's best to let sleeping dogs sleep. She's not going to change her ways short of Heavenly Intervention as she's on a mission.

...not to mention that to some posters on this forum..., to even speak to a woman face to face might constitute lust.

Prediction: Several people will counsel Evan NOT to meet with this woman, NOT to phone her and confront her. No one will tell him to meet with her. By Saturday we will get the full play-by-play recap of his meeting with this woman.

He could always stand outside on the street and yell at her office window.

You lost. It may be wiser not to meet with her just to dialogue. There are dozens of women pastors in Denver and not all are WOF. But being a woman pastor does not make one a false teacher unless one denies the essentials of the faith. Being a woman pastor is wrong but as I chatted with yet another person from a charismatic church Sunday and they did have women pastors I chose not to rattle with them due to the fact the church does not appear to deny the essentials.

Okay. I am always welcome to a debate. Do you have AIM, google Chat, or Yahoo messenger?

Those are chat apps that unlike FB protect ones privacy. If you wanna debate via text chat I am open.

As you addressed me directly, I will reply. Otherwise, I normally have no care anymore for what you have to say, though I will remind you of your unrepentance every time you suggest such nonsense approaches to "evangelism" or complain about problems you yourself created.
No. Nor do I want them. They are back doors into a computer for viruses and malware. Besides, I think you misunderstand what I was saying:
I don't care, frankly, what you do. What I object to is your constant whining about finances and your wife in a public forum when it is clear you do so to mitigate your own sin. About that, there is no debate.

In case you are wondering, I will be a "thorn in your side" until you repent.

YOU THINK AIM, GOOGLE CHAT, AND/OR YAHOO MESSENGER PROTECT ONE'S PRIVACY?

Each of these programs have settings to save your messages; you may not set the program to save the message, but who knows about the person you're chatting with?

Seriously, dude, your ignorance of the lack of privacy and security on the internet is downright scary.

There are certain programs where you could set up virtual private networks; but those aren't foolproof. There are ways to use Tor or other software/hardware type solutions; but honestly, and I'm not saying this to be mean but to be honest, I don't think you're technically savvy enough to use them.

The *ONLY* way to protect your privacy on the internet, is to not use the internet.

You need to get it through your head: What's on the internet, STAYS on the internet. I can go to waybackmachine.org right now, and with the information that was bought up about you in another thread, find multiple websites that you've posted on and retrieve a TON of information about you.

    Scared?

    You should be.
