If your church has a youth group, do they participate in the church worship time or do they have their own worship time?

IMHO - a "childrens church" should not go past the 4th grade - at most.

Of course they participate in in the church worship time. Where in the Bible do we see church members segregated by age?

If they're members, then they're members and they're treated as such.

That's kinda how we do it at my church ( www.lighthouseministries.org ).

We let the K-4th kids stay in the main auditorium until after the offering, then (at the parents' discretion--some prefer to have their children stay with them) dismiss the K-4th age group to attend their own "service."

The youth do not have their own "worship service" as such.

Every once in a while we'll have the youth present a short program such as their experiences at a summer camp where they serve as counselors/mentors for Canadian "First Nation" (That's what they refer to what we'd call "Native Americans") youth.

    EXAMPLE:
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrfiX6HqmCs

Throughout the week we provide opportunities for our youth to serve in such outreaches as AWANAs.

On Wednesday evenings they do have their own youth meeting under the guidance and leadership of our Associate Pastor for Family Life and Youth.

Our teens are in the Sunday AM worship services, but on Wednesday night, while the adults are in prayer mtg the teens have their own Bible study.

Sunday morning - children's church (ages 3-2nd grade) just before the sermon. The preacher announces it and they leave.

    Sunday night - all together.

Wednesday night prayer meeting - the youth (6th-12th) have a separate service and Bible study. Children have children's choir/Bible study/prayer time.

We are all in church together for the worship time. Children grades 6 and under leave just before the message for their own message time.

Almost the same. Our 3-2nd graders leave out during the welcome hymn early in the service.

We do participate in general worshiping before we can leave to join our groups. We can only read a verse or two when we are in meetings. Sometimes we meet on weekdays when we are unable to meet after church service.

Here in our place, teenagers always participate in church worship every Sunday, but they also have their own worship time every Thursday and Friday.
