I thought this was interesting and just wanted to pass it along. Apparently, Gibson is being persecuted by others in Hollywood for wanting to make a historically acurate film about Jesus. It is definitely a movie I would pay to see.

Good on ya for Mel. But I am not surprised by the presssure put on him. The world wants nothing to do with Jesus when it is obvious that he is their only hope. If anyone wants to write to me please do.

I would say "Go Mel" if he bore fruit of a changed heart, born-again. As far as I know, and please correct me on this, he is a "dedicated" Roman Catholic. I guess he feels if he makes this one movie about the Saviour of the world that will make up for all the venial sins he has committed? I'll pray for Mel, that he will come to personally know this Jesus Christ that he is being "persecuted" over.

Yes Mel Gibson is RC and one of the very few actors who has been married to the same woman for many years. His life is seems more exemplorary (is that spelled right) than the handful of Baptist celebs I know of... Of course the only one that pops to mind is Shannen Doherty. Who are other Baptists big time actor/actresses?

I just did a quick web search and Shannen Doherty's recent films include "Sleeping with the Devil" and "Satan's School for Girls".

It is no surprise what the "love of money" will do to a person. Just because you are a Baptist doesn't make you a Christian.

One example of a celebrity who is a Christian is Kirk Cameron. www.livingwaters.com

Again, I pray that Mel Gibson and any other unsaved person in the world will come to know Jesus Christ in a most intimate way.

    God bless, Kenneth

Good on ya for Mel. But I am not surprised by the presssure put on him.

Well put. I don't think that he's being pressured because people don't want this movie made, I think that whenever there's a movie made about Christ, everyone becomes an anateur theologian and wants it done their way. In the same way that, when a woman announces she's pregnant, everyone around her suddenly become amateur obstetricians and pediatricians.

On the flip side, I'm surprised how many on this board have doubts that he's a Christian. It seems that, by his fruits, he is. So before you want the media to lay off him, lay off him yourself first. Hello? Log/Plank?? Judge not??? Anyone??? Beuhler???
