Okay, I know..."she's changing her mind~again!" And while all those I nominated previously are considered good picks, I am now submitting only one:

    Clint Kritzer

I know who I am nominating but want to wait, with only half a year gone, never know who might join.

Thank you Granny for nominating me, but I feel the least of you all. But bless you anyway!

Thankyou Granny. I think I am blushing cause I know I am not the best person to be nominated.
I agree with some of your other choices though. Brother Ernie, Don, you, Dixie Girl, Barnabas, Brother Glen, Katie, Joy, Molly, Doctor Bob, and so many others should be nominated.
    In our Saviour,

    My fourth nomination

My fourth nomination of the year goes to someone who isn't even a Baptist. I give Chemnitz my nomination for his superior attitude when discussing doctrinal matters, especially when up against an entire board of Baptists. A Lutheran, he has been helpful in clarifying current issues and doctrine in the Lutheran faith and despite that I was once a Lutheran we have been getting along well, which in itself can say alot. Vote #2 - Clint Kritzer. A beacon of light, a wise voice, a cool, clear head. BB would be worse without him.

Vote # 3 - Pastor Larry. He handles criticsm with a great deal of class. Very gifted & Godly man. Though I don't always agree with him, I learn much from him.

Funny that this thread got bumped back up as I was thinking of my 6th nomination just yesterday and was going to bump it myself.

    #6 - DHK

Being the moderator of the other religions forum I have observed that there are 3 or 4 folks who have really devoted themselves to defending the Baptist faith. DHK is the most consistent of these. HankD, Lorelei, Don and a few other folks really hang tough in one of the most volatile forums on the board. They are all deserving, but I picked DHK to represent the lot.

I would also add that I think Dualhunter is a Baptist and just hasn't realized it yet. :D

    "It's a battle-field brother; not a recreation room!
    It's a fight, and not a game.
So, you can run if you want to, run if you will.
But I've come here to stay!!"

Those are the words to a children's chorus that I learned a long time ago. (I can't remember the rest of the song). But I have found it true of the Christian life, and applicable here as well.
Thank you for your kind words Clint.

My vote would go to Helen for her well thought out answers on a variety of different topics. I have appreciated her testimony, as I have appreciated all of the fellowship on the board.

    So far, my nominees include:
rlvaughn in first place for the second year,
swaimj, J. Mark Bertrand, and BaptistBeliever.

I always read everything they each post. They are obviously quite different from each other in many beliefs but share an obvious love for the Lord, and coherent views presented graciously.

    My Fifth Nomination

My 5th nomination for the year goes to Helen for her continued dedication to helping run the Baptist Board, her mature posts, and her compassionate attitude towards others. The BaptistBoard would not be the same today without her support. [IMG]

[IMG] While I see a lot of hard working people on this board...one comes to mind who is always there with a joke, and seems like he would always be there in a pinch. He is always there to give warm greetings, and has a willingness to fix things. I nominate.... Barnabas!

    #7 - Bible Believing Bill

Bill has the rare quality of being firm in his convictions while retaining an air of Christian humility. He's kind, friendly, and a great encourager. I have admired his growth and his obvious joy in such. He's also very fond of this board. Bill's a great guy, all around.

    #8 - Helen

The board is a much better place for her being here. She's grounded, kind, and fair. She's sensitive and compassionate yet fiery in her devotion to Christian principles. A great asset, a great ally, a great friend.
