What are the beliefs of Messianic Jews? Is anyone familiar with their congregations? From what I have seen on the web they run from fairly orthodox to heretical. Those associated with Jews For Jesus seem to be the most balanced in theology though it appears most hold to keeping the Old Testament sabbath.

Any info will be appreciated. [IMG]

    Hi,
We receive an excellent magazine called, "Israel my Glory." It is written and published by the Friend of Israel. You can find more info about them at www.foi.org

The Messianic Jews I am familiar with (mostly Jews for Jesus -- http://www.jewsforjesus.org/ ) consider themselves 'completed Jews,' and I like that term. Something we must remember is that the Jewish people have a long history, directed by God Himself in a special way, and they value that history all the more as completed Jews now. So most of them remain Sabbatarian for that reason rather than feeling the law is necessary for salvation. It is a matter of respect and obedience for them as a people, and I, for one, find it very easy to respect that. I have learned a lot from reading Moishe (Martin) Rosen's material through the years.
