Well, Dinky, with that I agree. One gentleman (in
every sense of that word) tried to start a thread
regarding modesty, but it went nowhere. Perhaps
it was my fault, because the lack of it is one of
my pet peeves. I think, though, that the most
offensive part of that lack is that some of the
worst cases I have seen have been in churches.

Dinky Doo said, Great peace have they which love thy law and NOTHING shall offend them!

AArgh, I have heard that misquoted so many times by an IFB preacher that I nearly puked each time he said it. Nothing shall cause the people to stumble or stray from the law if they love the law, but does not mean that they cannot be offended by anything or anyone.

"A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city..."

I can be offended by your attire and Paul said that he would not eat meat ever if it made his brother to stumble. We are free but not alowed to use our liberty selfishly.

Indeed, if you know people are offended by your attire you are under responsibility to change even if you think you are right per Romans 14 and 15, not tell them to shove it because you are free. Wear your pants at home but not to church if you know that someone is offended by your pants.

The verse you quoted cannot be used as a justification of what we do and a condemnation of those who disapprove or are offended because they obviously donot love the law if they are offended.

Do some more study Dinky Doo and God bless and enrich you as you do so.

I am free to wear my cowboy clothes to church, but my pastor feels staff should wear a coat and tie. Hence I wear a Western coat and tie, but I gave up my liberty to wear jeans and such so my pastor and others would not be offended. I limit my liberty out of love not flaunt it.
