Does anyone here listen to Michael Savage on the radio? If so, what do you think about his ideas about protecting our borders, language and culture?

It is very rare when I disagree with anything he says.

Unfortunately, I can't listen to him on X.M. anymore, he pulled his show. And the A.M. station that broadcasts him barely comes in.

But he does have a website. He's very good, IMO.

    Curtis,

I am with you. It is not until he starts discussing religion that I will occasionally disagree with him. He's just as lost as a goose in a hen house but he's spot on when it comes to almost every other issue.

I especially like when he talks about the problem with the borders and all the illegals pouring into our Country. I just wish more people in DC would agree with him and then take action on it.

Savage was fired by WMAL for telling the truth that Islam is a terrorist religion. While I did not always agree with his points, I never knew him to attempt to support his beliefs with false information. I hope he lands another time slot in WMAL area (Washington, DC & suburbs) and takes their listening audience from them in that time slot.

His problem: he is extremely not politically correct.

You're right. He's definitely not politically correct and that's why he is so great at what he does.

I particularly love how he calls terrorists Islamofacists.

Never heard Savage, never heard of him but I am strongly in favor of protecting our borders, language and culture.

National Radio Host Michael Savage Calls For Newspaper Editors to be Arrested For Sedition

    Paul Joseph Watson | April 15 2004

Oily beatnik Neo-Con radio host Michael Savage, who has previously and repeatedly called for anyone who criticizes the government to be put in concentration camps, has now advocated the arrest of US newspaper editors.

In a poll on his website, Savage (real name 'Wiener') displays a photo of an Iraqi holding up a US soldiers' boots which was published in the New York Times. Savage asks the question, 'Do you think the publisher of the NY Times should be arrested for sedition for showing enemy propaganda?'

It is the job of a publisher/journalist/photographer to print and disseminate the truth, however horrible it may be. Savage implies that the publisher should only print what is favorable to the government. This is propaganda.

The poll currently shows 65% in favor of arresting the publisher, although when I checked the poll last night it was as high as 85% at one point.

It is common knowledge that this 'bastion of conservatism' was once a liberal hippie. He still advocates the books and philosophy of literary beatniks Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs, whose books included glorification of drug use.

As Alex Jones has stated many times, the liberals couldn't ram through the entirety of their police state agenda, so they just put on sheep's clothing and returned as self-proclaimed conservatives and are attempting to destroy America.

Mr. Wiener, like a plethora of other so-called right-wing talk show hosts, is a dangerous anti-American who hates freedom and what the founding fathers created. While he has a first amendment right to voice his comments, we feel the need to challenge them and will continue to monitor his subversive and extremist activities.

That is an out and out lie, Poncho. You should be ashamed of that. It is not true, he never said anything like that.

And it being one of the first sentences makes the entire article a heap of manure. I won't waste my time.

In my humble opinion, he is just about psycho. I like his views on a lot of things, but had to stop listening to him because of the way he would just start screaming at the least provocation. It drove me nearly nuts.

He was placed suspended indefinitely as you know. This week, when he refused to retract his statement wherein he called Islam a terrorist religion, they fired him.

FD, I have never heard Michael Savage scream at all, with or without provocation. I am not saying he never lost his temper, but I suspect this may be an exaggeration, just like the article posted by Poncho.

I too believe that article is a lie written by one of his numerous detractors and political enemies.

Two apologies Bro Curtis. First I'm sorry it took so long to apologize I was looking for a quote from Michael Savage. Couldn't find it apparently you are right. Second I'm sorry I posted it before I looked for the quote. [IMG]

I love to listen to Savage; although like hot sauce, a little goes a long way. I actually agree with much of what he is saying, though not all. I have also heard him go into rants and scream and say some of the most outrageous things. Usually, after about 15 or 20 minutes, I've had enough and switch back to some music.

I sure agree with that. He is very poorly prepared, almost never allows callers to express their opinion, and brags too much. Not my cup of tea at all. His opinions are random. He supports President Bush one day and vilifies him the next. Thinks Rush is a joke. The only music I listen to on the radio is when I find nothing else on during his time slot, once I give up on him.

    Cool. [IMG]

I will admit he says some pretty inflamatory stuff, he's an easy target for liberal pundits.

    I love ya, poncho.
