Typical Mike Huckabee, a man of a lower calling.
I get the feeling that if Huckabee showed up and walked on the water, you guys would nail him for not knowing how to swim.
Prime example of misusing religion to serve politics.
Huckabee for Stand Up Comic, but not for President!
Don't think we would be calling him Messiah, anybody can walk on water if it is frozen hard enough.
I didn't see anything wrong with it, I thought it was kinda funny. And it would not affect whether I would or wouldn't vote for him.
I think people are grasping at straws.
I wonder what the reaction of those excusing Mike Huckabee's behavior would be if this comedy bit had been performed by Hillary Clinton.
Did ya hear the joke about a drunk driver who happened to be a wealthy real estate developer. (In 2003, he began serving a six-year sentence for repeated drunk driving offenses, but Huckabee let the man go after about six months. In 2006, he nearly killed a police officer in yet another drunk driving incident.)
Yeah that one was a real knee slapper.
So far Mike Huckabee is getting a pass on his past mis-deeds because he is such a funny guy.
It wouldnt affect whether I voted or did not vote for her either.
I didn't wonder about the effect on votes. I did wonder about excusing the behavior, regardless of electoral politics.
Thats funny coming from the guy who will overlook anything from anyone you support. (i.e. Terrell Owens for the Cowboys and earmarks and Mr. Paul)
Again, those who do not like Huckabee are grasping at straws.
I do not even support Huckabee, but this has absolutely no affect on my thoughts.
And when have Mr. Owens or Mr. Paul made fun of God by pretending to receive a phone call from Him and talking with Him on a cell phone?
Combine this with Mr. Huckabee's "Jesus juice" comment and it does not paint a good picture of him.
Frankly, I don't care if this influences anyone's vote or not. Mr. Huckabee is running for president and the voters at least need to know what kind of person they are voting for if they pull the lever for him.
I agree. It's like those who don't like Bush - it doesn't matter what he does or doesn't do, they'll find some way to put him down. Just my opinion.
Bush and Huckabee have nothing in common. I have a very favorable view of Huckabee. Bush, on the other hand, whom I voted for twice, turned out to be a pseudo-conservative, inept leader, and only pandered to the Christian community for votes and political power.
And, apparently, those who like Huckabee to some degree - it doesn't matter what he does or doesn't do, they'll find some way to justify him.
I don't think it is out of line to point out that using our God as part of a comedy routine to score political points is extremely distasteful.
I would think that Huckabee would have more respect and reverence to do something like that. It is one thing to be used by God but it is totally a different thing when someone uses God for political purposes to push an agenda for themselves or political party..
Can I take this as a "NO" vote for the Bushes..........
