    Hello everyone!

Many of you already know that I am amill.

I decide to start new topic for to challenge questions to premills on scriptures. I hope these questions would make premills to be re-thinking of scriptures what these are actual saying. I have many questions to ask you.

But, I decide to start with two questions to ask you as the process with many questions in this topic. Questions start with Revelation chapter 20, then throughout in this topic will discuss with many verses throughout the Bible, not just only focus on Revelation chapter 20 only.

We need to understanding more clear and depth what the Bible saying about the future.

Eschatology doctrine have been divided among Churches lately.

The two basics of fundamental belief that, many of us are agree: Jesus is coming again. And we agree: We shall reign with Christ on earth - literal and physical.

We have disagreements about the timing of millennial, whose will be invloved in millennial, where millennial shall be take place.

Revelation chapter 20 is the most debate among premills and amills today than any other passages of the Bible on millennial doctrine.

I would like to start with first of two questions of millennial question.

    Let's continue....

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

    1. Is there anywhere else in Scriptures that you can corroborate the Premillennial interpretation of Revelation 20 that Satan will be bound for a time-span of 1000 years after the Second Advent?

    2. Where exactly in Revelation chapter 20 or anywhere in the Bible, does it say that Christ will reign on earth for 1000 years?

    Not that I know of.

    20:4 right at the end.

You're on a "fool's errand" to prove amil, though, DPT.

    skypair,

You answered of q. #1, you are correct. Impossible for us to find support or proof from anywhere in the Bible like 65 books did mention of time-span of 1000 years prior Revelation 20. So, therefore, premillennialism doctrine is fallacy.

    You answered of q. #2.

Can you see a clear verse anywhere between Rev. 20:1-5 saying that, Christ shall reign ON EARTH of time-span 1000 years?

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 - Amen!

Are you opposing Satan being bound at all? The 1000 year period or placing it after the second advent?

    Isaiah 11:11,12; 65:9; Ezekial 36:28,29; 39:28

Non sequitur. The fact that no other passage mentions the particular time frame does not prove that premillennialism is wrong. It simply means that the time frame is not mentioned elsewhere.

why would I limited myself to Rev 20:1-5 to address this? The Bible is clear in multiple passages that Messiah will reign on earth.

But even assuming the premise of your question, that no other passage talks about the kingdom on earth, so what? How many times does God have to say something before it is true? Only once ... so if Revelation says Satan will be bound for a 1000 years, then it will happen. We need not find another place to prove it from.

This seems to be a strange emerging trend. In another thread, someone said he/she questions the validity of anything that does not appear at least 3 times in the Bible (along the lines of 3 valid witnesses). Now this. Since when did people start measuring the validity of Biblical concepts based on the number of times they appear?

Amen, Brother DeafPosttrib - preach it!

    Most a-mills (probably only 55%)
do NOT believe that there will be
    a literal/physical reign with Christ on Earth;
most (over 99%) pre-mills do believe that there will be
a literal/physical reign with Christ on Earth.

Some a-mills are a-trib (a spiritual Tribulation only).

Amen, Brother Npetreley -- Preach it!

I don't know why people want to throw away Revelation 20
so they can figuare out this passage:

    2 Peter 3:8-10 (KJV1611 Edition):
But (beloued) bee not ignorant of this one thing,
that one day is with the Lord as a thousand yeeres,
and a thousand yeeres as one day.
9 The Lord is not slacke cocerning his promise (as some men count slacknesse)
but is long-suffring to vs-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord wil come as a thiefe in the night,
in the which the heauens shall passe away with
a great noise, and the Elements shall melt with
feruent heate, the earth also and the works
that are therin shalbe burnt vp.

It seems logical to me that the 'day of the Lord' here is
1,000 years long to go with Revelation 20.
It seems illogical to throw away Revelation 20
to believe 2 Peter 3:10. It seems illogical to
throw away 2 Peter 3:10 to believe Revelation 20.
    They can both be believed.

Anyway, if I hear about the Messiah reigning over a
Kingdom on earth, I put it long side Revelation 20
and see that that Kingdom will last 1,000 years.
Another place it says that Messiah Jesus will have a
Kingdom that will last forever, so when I find out in
John 3:6-17 that I'm going to be saved forever -
I figure it is cause Jesus put me into His kingdom
when he saved me. I'm not in the Millinial Messanic Kingdom
yet cause it hasn't happened yet.

I don't see how we can logically understand the Bible
if we discard this part to understand that part.
Put the Bible parts together - God the Holy Spirit will help
    you put the parts together.

    Re: Millenial questions

Deafposttrib quotes:The two basics of fundamental belief that, many of us are agree: Jesus is coming again. And we agree: We shall reign with Christ on earth - literal and physical.

Deafpostrib, I am amill, but I do not believe that we will reign on earth with Christ. 1Thes 4:16 states that Christ will come with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and that we will join Christ in the air. This earth(elements) will melt with fervent heat. This earth will be burned up, if you will. There will be a NEW Heaven and a NEW Earth. Not this one we now live on. This is how I see it....

    With love and respect,

    DeafPT,

Whereas it is true that many did not want to include The Revelation in the canon of scripture on account of it's difficulty, it is there. Perhaps you could do like most people do/did who don't understand it --- just ignore it. What's really bad is to add to or take away from it, Rev 22:18-19.

    convicted1,

Do you believe we shall reign with Christ on new earth - literal and physical?

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

I do agree with premills saying that we shall reign with Christ on earth.

Premills have problems deal with 'earth' beyond second advent.

Because Isaiah 65:17-20 and 2 Peter 3:10-13 both telling us that there shall be a new earth. 2 Peter 3:10-13 telling us clear that, this present old earth shall be burned away, so, we shall looking forward for a new earth. That shall be follow at the coming of Christ in that day, not supposed 1000 years later after second advent.

For me, I believe we shall reign with Christ on new earth - literal and physical in the future by follow at the second advent after the judgment day.

    In Christ
    Rev. 22:20 -Amen!

Chalk me up as one who does not believe that Christ will reign ON EARTH physically for 1000 years.

Please give scripture where He will reign 1000 years ON EARTH.

I believe it to be a Spiritual reign, as the Early Church believe with the exception of 3 or 4 I can find but were silenced.

Anyway, you ever look up the Greek word for a thousand???

    Revelation 19 - 21, particularly 21:4

4I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

It says John saw the "souls" of them that were beheaded. Also, can you show me scripture that it will take place on Earth, and if it is just the souls, where is the bodies?? Also, it does not say "they came to life", it says the "lived" and reigned with Christ a thousand years and all of it is "past tense".

How come the early church believed it was Spiritual with the exception of a few, who were silenced, until around the 18th century. This reign on earth physically is only around 200 years old for the most part.

Soul is not only in reference to the immaterial. Ever hear the phrase "that poor soul"? How can a soul be beheaded, and "be seated" btw? ;)

7When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth—Gog and Magog—to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them.

That is Satan on "earth", not Jesus. We know he is on earth.

If you read closely it says the "souls" OF THEM, in other words a part of a whole.
If it were as you say, it would of said I saw the souls that were beheaded, but it does not, it says "of them".

    SOULS
    Greek word
    5590
    yuch
    psuche
    psoo-khay'
from yucw - psucho 5594; breath, i.e. (by implication) spirit, abstractly or concretely (the animal sentient principle only; thus distinguished on the one hand from pneuma - pneuma 4151, which is the rational and immortal soul; and on the other from zwh - zoe 2222, which is mere vitality, even of plants: these terms thus exactly correspond respectively to the Hebrew fagw - phago 5315, 7307 and chay 2416):--heart (+ -ily), life, mind, soul, + us, + you.
