Minority Youth Gather for Evangelical Conference

THOUSANDS GATHERING FOR CAMPUS CRUSADE MINORITY CONFERENCE
(Washington-AP) -- Thousands of young black Christians are
gathering in the nation's capital for Impact 2002 -- a conference
sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ that starts tonight and
runs until New Year's day.
Conference director Jim Williamson says participants will
be challenged to become leaders in their schools and churches.
He says Sunday will be a day of outreach in Washington
neighborhoods, when conference participants will give away food,
toys and Bibles in conjunction with local churches. And
Williamson says there will be prayer, celebration and
entertainment on New Year's Eve.
