Portraying Catholics as evil and the Pope as the anti-Christ and all gays as child molestors is not the Gospel. It's hateful and ignorant and to pervert the Gospel in order to pimp your own sick political ideology is blasphemous and a slap in the face of Christ.

If you think that's the Gospel, maybe you should read your Bible.

I have read a lot of stuff from Jack Chick and I never read any of the things that you are acussing him of saying. Do you have any evidence to back up what you are saying about him....I am just curious.

    Hi Truth,

I personally do not encourage tracts because they hinder a disciple from refining his interactive teaching. He does not draw from his own personal experiences through God's grace. On the other hand, the tract ultimately subsitutes for his own witnessing dialogue. By standing in for his own testimony, a tract prevents a disciple from making a raw emotional connection with the unbeliver as the disciple tells the gospel.

I prefer to converse with an unbeliever in my own words. If you tell people about the coming of God's Kingdom, then they will at least hear the words. If you give them a tract, then they usually toss them in garbage without glancing at them as we often do with the Jehovah's Witness's pamphlets.

    In Christ, Jamal5000:)

Yes, his tracts. It's all there in black and white.

Curtis, I'm not a "liberal Baptist" by any stretch of the imagination and I can't stand the guy.

I personally find putting tracts in bills not only unuseful but disrespectful. The company is paying for you to send out tracts and I don't believe that is right for a christian to use and abuse that. I still believe the best way to witness is to love, and show love thru actions, let them see Jesus living in you.

I'm not saying don't use tracts. If God lays it on your heart to give them out then do it, but I won't do it because I don't see much purpose in them. I know a person who once left a funeral throwing tracts down on the sidewalk of the church the funeral was held at because she didn't feel the church really knew what salvation was about, so not only did she automatically assume but she did a crime by litering too...she actually put these tracts on the sidewalk.

I use Chick tracts because I not so good when it comes to witnessing (I often chicken out). However, I choose what tracks of Chick's to give out. Most of his tracks are good, some are so-so, some you'll probably find weird.
