I'm no fan of Samantha Power, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. But in this speech before the Security Council this morning, she nailed it:
She ended her remarks with the words of that headline: "Russia can end this war. Russia must end this war." But at the White House, the tone was distinctly different.
Less than an hour after his U.N. ambassador laid the blame squarely on Russia's doorstep, presenting evidence that all but seals that conclusion, he equivocates, flops and meekly spreads the blame around, and then inexplicably claims that the U.S. stands up for Ukrainian sovereignty when he has done absolutely nothing to indicate that is true. He paid some lip service to more blame lying with Russia and the separatists, but he didn't sound convincing, nor did he react sternly as his own U.N. ambassador did.

The man is truly clueless, unwilling to admit that his "Russian Reset" utterly failed, that his vision of how the world should be is never going to be how the world actually is, regardless of how much he wishes and hopes for it.
