Model T anyone?

madre and I are raising our three year old grandson. As she puts it, "We raised ours with all the energy and none of the experience. Now we have all the experience and none of the energy." That said, Connor was ready to graduate to a big boy bed and him being an only grandchild.....



It's modeled loosely after an early brass era Model T. He and I spent hours looking at old trucks, bed plans and a million other websites looking for ideas. Connor decided he wanted to sleep in the back of a Model T flatbed truck painted John Deere green. You just aren't going to find one at Walmart.

They had one at Lowes but it was in the form of dimensional lumber, plywood, boards and fasteners. There's about 80 hours in labor represented in the bed and after his reaction seeing it finished it was well worth every minute.
