I was listening to a news report on National Proletarian Radio (NPR, formally known as the US division of TASS), and they were talking about a whole new category of re-enactors.

These guys are re-enacting the wars of the 20th century, including VietNam! I don't know where they get the Kraits, Cobras, Centipedes and Rice Bugs, but...

Have ya'll heard of such a thing? Do you know anyone who is in this?

I enjoy 1845 Mexican War - 1876 Plains Indian War, of course including the War of Northern Aggression.

In the 80's I joined a unit of WWII reenactors (we even owned a Sherman tank).

Most of us who lost friends in Vietnam (or fought in country themselves) find reenacting that to be a little bit harder. I personally don't feel the same way about reenacting "up close" like that.
