Sure, I would. But I wouldn't tell them they HAD to believe it, or they were going against God. That's a bit judgmental, don't you think?

So we should sit back and watch others sin? Is that what you are suggesting wizofoz?

Actually, it would be correct to do point out if someone is in sin. What's happening here is that there's a huge disparity of beliefs on this particular matter. I don't believe wearing trousers is sinful, nor is cutting my hair. Others believe it is. Now, some may not come out and say "that's a sin," but by saying (along these lines), "God commanded this, which is why I do it" does imply that to do otherwise is disobeying God, which is, simply, sin.

So, no, it's not a salvation issue, as we've talked about, but it is a sin issue. I don't think it's as simple as some people expressing a personal preference. It's about delaring certain things to be the command (directly or indirectly) of God, which generally means that not doing XYZ is in direct disobedience.

That's the way I read these threads anyway, that if a woman wears trousers or cuts her hair, she is in rebellion against God and thus sinning. That's why there's so much debate about it and why it can sometimes get heated.

No, nor should we sit back and judge someone's actions or dress based on our perception of what's sin and what isn't.

No, no one said it or implied it. I was responding to what wizofoz said here:

I was simply trying to show that no one had said that, nor was anyone trying to say it. My point was that we all believe a certain way, and we all believe that we're right (else it's not worth believing). But in my opinion, no one even implied that anyone else was a sinner for any particular belief. I feel like I'm beating my head against a wall. Sorry! :(

Kelly explained it a lot better than I could have.

Frankly, I thinks Christians should be as attractive as they can be for Christ's sake.

    Miss Abbey,

There is a good reason why I used the word "attractive". It does not denote Hollywood beauty, magazine attraction and beauty contest display. It does include everything a person can be....attractive.

It used to be said, that young boys date the beauty queen, but young men marry the princess. Everyone has an innate quality and this reflects in attractiveness. By the way, your looks are just fine to me, going by the photo. Not to worry.

    Cheers, and God bless,

    Jim

Here is a suggestion. Why don't those who want to do it God's way, just do it and those who don't care about doing it God's way, just don't do it. Then when we meet a Holy and Righteous God, we can see who He is pleased with.

This sounds like a good idea to me.

Imagine our surprise when the Almighty Creator of the Universe looks at us with a puzzled expression and says, "You really thought I cared about the shape and pattern of the fabric you wrapped around yourselves?"

That's just it - neither group believes itself to not be doing it God's way.

And that is my point. If you know you are right, then don't worry about it, but if you are not sure, then you might want to search a little deeper.

What will really be a surprise to some is God's displeasure in our toleration of abortion and approving of the sodomite lifestyle. They will say LORD,LORD, but He will say I never knew you.

That's a risk I'm willing to take. It can't hurt to be a little too "fanatical" for most people's comfort. Why would it scare me to find that I've done too much for God?
