Those who oppose the use of EIT [Enhanced Interrogation Techniques] claim that to use EIT would cause this nation to lose moral footing, integrity and credibility before nations around the world.

I say too bad. There will always be a notebook full of names and nations that hate America, regardless of our stance on EIT. America's moral fiber is being judged and damaged by things of more importance than whether we water-board a few terrorists, to protect the masses that live in America.

Here's the social kicker, my friends....the killing of babies and the use of stew cells for medical research is by far more important to our moral standing than water-boarding a handful of non-military detainees, who, by the way, are not covered by the Geneva Convention because they did not wear the uniforms of their countries. According to law, to be caught out of uniform during warfare is worthy of a shooting squad. However, as of now, none of these guys have been taken out back at Gitmo and shot dead. Isn't that a strange turn-of-events?

Any Way, the argument that our moral standing amongst the nations of this world is poor argument none-the-less, and in truth, it is nothing but an attempt to pull us off stride as we march forward in this war against terror.

To those here in America that say we need to stop the EIT and act responsibly, is nothing more than a smoke-screen on behalf of those old "bleeding heart liberals" from the W's. When I am left to chose which moral dilemma is the one that needs our immediate attention, I am left with the mass extinction of innocent babies still living safely within the wombs of their mothers.

Maybe if this nation was truly worried about our national efforts to put us on moral high ground, we'd start with putting an immediate end to the fetal genocide going on in hospitals and medical clinics offering abortion to every female [and their male companion -known, or not known] who failed to utilize the myriad of available techniques available to prevent the conception of a an unwanted child-to-be.

Before we close Gitmo, let's close those abortion clinics. Let's put an end to senseless holocaust of baby killings. If we can move to the top of moral high ground by ending abortion, then we have the right to tackle the issue of torture. By the way, these thugs have taken up the cause of radical Islam's attempt to abort as many American living citizens as possible. Terrorists want us dead, fetuses only want the opportunity to make it into this world and get a chance to be a part of this wonderful gift we call life!

I ask which horror facing our moral high ground has more impact on how we'll be judged by the world [and God on judgment day]: Water-boarding a few non-military thugs who hate Americans, or, knocking off a few million babies each year? As bad as EIT may seem to some of you, it shouldn't be nothing more than a minor blip on the radar screen of human atrocities. Americans can stop EIT and gain that feel good tingling all over their body, but if we go on ignoring the real problem [Killing babies, and using stem cells for research purposes], we will be guilty of the worst kind of moral sin against mankind.

So, what do you gain if you stop EIT and allow abortion to continue, inchecked? What you gain is absolutely NOTHING! Sure, you may save a few thugs from being tortured, but you gain nothing because you turned your collective heads and merely winked at the abortion clinics; promising each other that someday you'll go after the real culprit: abortion and stem cell research....what a bunch of bunk!:tear:

Sure. Because we don't outlaw abortion, why don't we legalize theft?

That's already been done: Only its called bailout and recovery taxes and devalued worth for your labor.

Just as we've legalized slavery: Oh, but Obama calls it "GIVE".

Still we'll gag over a nat (the rights of a few and finite number of criminally minded terrorist-mobsters-bullies), while swallowing a camel (accepting the infringement of human rights to life of all humans... from conception to a natural death, loss o f freedoms, and enabling the immorality of the masses).

And some say 'love the world' for by this shall all men know you are my disciples'...... Wrong. Jesus said love not the world neither the things which are in the world. God said a friend of the world is no friend of his. Jesus said to disciples that they were to love one another for by this all would know that they were his disciples. It is still the same today. If we have love for each other then the world knows us that we are the workmanship of our Heavenly King. If we regard the world over each other........ and esteem the opinions and values of the world as superior to those taught in the Bible, I think we are not showing that we are Christ's. Now if we do not show that we are Christ's..... how do we fellowship and know each other? and how does the world know to whom we belong?

I suspect that all those who get teary eyed over the interrogation of terrorists at Gitmo and elsewhere are all pro abortion. Of course it is not torture:

1 To dismember a baby in the womb.
    2. To inject a saline solution into the womb scalding the baby.
    3. To turn the baby in the womb, pull it out feet first until the back of the head is exposed, punch a hole in the back of the head, suction out the brain until the head collapses allowing extraction of the dead baby.

This last procedure was developed to ensure that late term abortions successfully produced a dead baby and the democrat party supported this procedure along with obama.

The people who really were enslaved in the US would love to hear you mock their treatment. Why don't you try out that argument in Harlem, Watts or the south side of Chicago?

Wow. I wouldn't figure there would be slaves in those areas. Historically, slavery occured in the South more, and in agricultural regions.

What are these slaves that you know currently doing?

There are no slaves in the U.S. today unless you want to talk about those who are slaves to the the government who for generations have lived on government subsistence.

Some people can turn a thread on vegetarianism - any thread - into an abortion rant.

If you have a cancer, AND an ingrown toenail, it doesn't make sense to try to fix the toe and ignore the cancer!

Till this country gets rid of the cancer, trying to cure all this other stuff is an exercise in futility!

Can we not do both? Sure, but liberals want to ignore the killer disease and put all resources into curing the toe.

And yes, I do consider this other stuff equivalent to the toe in this analogy!!!!!

There are two main reasons I oppose the use of EIT's.

    1. Information gained by them is unreliable and often false and,

    2. The Nazi's and Communists (along with some others, "terrorists" ?) used them to gain useful propaganda to use on their own populations to "prove" their case against the "enemy" when no other proof was available or existed. Which brings us back to reason number 1 and why the Nazi's and communists used EIT's in the first place. Controlling the "hearts and minds" of their own citizens through the use of propaganda.

"See, we told you he was a "terrorist" just look at this signed comfession we beat out of him."

Mostly though I oppose the use of EIT's because I would just prefer not to have a government that uses the same techniques the Nazi's and communists used. Repeat after me...when Nazi's and communists used EIT's they were bad, but when we use EIT's they are good. Now repeat this 100 times before bedtime every night until you actually believe it.

Or even simpler just keep repeating "black is white and white is black" until you actually believe it.

Don't have to repeat it twice and I already believe it. When a murderer uses a gun to shoot an innocent other it is BAD. When a officer of the law uses a gun to shoot and stop the murderer it is GOOD.

So then you agree with using Nazi/Communist techniques as a legit tool for the USA to fight crime/terrorism?
