This is the coldest winter that I can remember here in Florida since I have been down here. Every time Al Gore opens his mouth it gets colder. Shut up Al.

Here's another story. Global warming activists are planning a protest in D.C. tomorrow...just in time for the snowstorm to hit.

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,501064,00.html

I wonder if they will even realize how foolish they look, bundled up against the cold and the snow...to protest global warming?

    peace to you:praying:

Just imagine how cold it would be if we didn't have the warming...

Thank goodness we polluted our atmosphere with CO2. We probably have prevented another ice-age.

It is so dry in Oklahoma we can not wear Crocks. Yep, hard rubber on fluffy rug stuff makes Static Electricity. In dry air the Static does not dissipate until you kiss your wife who then fusses at you. Global Warming is messing up my family life :-( So I don't wear Crocks.

:tonofbricks:It is so dry in central Oklahoma that our Local Baptist Church voted to SPRINKLE instead of Baptizing. In Friday's special religion section i found out the local Methodist Bishop has authorized all the Methodists to DRY CLEAN

You know it's dry when Moses has to part the sand pit...

I'm just upset that the snow missed us and went south. We have only had a few inches total this year. WAY OFF our normal snowfall. I miss it.

We've had a lot of global warming here this winter, 16 degrees this morning, in the words of my granddaughter 'what are we gonna to do?'

I notice my Electric (I have a heat pump) and Natural Gas (I have an auxiliary heat source) bills for Jan 2009 was less than for Jan 2008. This indicates where I live that January 2009 was warmer than January 2008 here in Central Oklahoma.

    Ed

    Good to see you back.

You might want to compare usage rather than price. My gas company just cut my price.

By the way. I don't believe that was snow in Alabama. I think it was manna from Heaven for those good folks.

Nope, Ed is right. I've been counting how many times my furnace kicks on and this year is lagging compared to last year this same time...

My Electric Company is trying to get more (must be approved by Legislature)

    I rephrase:

I notice my Electric (I have a heat pump) and Natural Gas (I have an auxiliary heat source) bills INDICATE THE RESPECTIVE USAGE for Jan 2009 was less than for Jan 2008. This indicates where I live that January 2009 was warmer than January 2008 here in Central Oklahoma.

BTW, the gas usage was like 1/3 as much.
There was not week I didn't turn on my air for if the sun shines and the temp outside is about 50 the house starts warming up - the Green House Effect.

This is what passes for scientific proof of global warming for liberal democrats.

Forget that worldwide temps have fallen every year since 1998. Forget that we've had the coldest temps (world wide) in the past 30 years.

"I've been counting the number of times my funance kicks on and off....Yikes...it's global warming! We have to do something! Raise taxes! Shut down the coal powered plants! Stop making cars and trucks! Close the airports! We must save the world!"

    peace to you:praying:

Anecdotal references about personal furnaces is just about the height of the evidence for global warming anyway.
