    I thought, when I first read about this back when it happened, that the man should be glad he lives in Texas. It'll never go to trial.

    I'm glad it turned out that way and not the least bit surprised.

    I might add, that if for some crazy reason it did go to trial, not a jury in Texas would ever convict him...unless maybe he lived in Austin.

    That's the thing that get's me. I've been in a few fights. To get beaten on the face and neck to death ? Gruesome. I don't feel bad for the victim, but that is still an awful way to go.

    Here's the challenge. I say the dad fulfilled Matthew 5:44 when, after making sure his daughter was safe, he called 911 and tried to save the man's life.
