Let's see Bush hating, badmouthing, couldnt be more politically correct. The grammy's are given to libs by libs. They cannot continue in country music. It just will not happen. Nothing has changed they still cannot get sold out shows and most need to be canceled. By the way the title of the thread and the article have nothing to do with each other. One doesn"t prove or even speak to the other.

Well sure, now it is, after six years of his bungling. But back then, he was actualiy tolerated, if not liked. Most everyone despises him now, but there was a time when it wasn't popular to criticize him.

Hmmm... that wasn't true, even when Bush wasn't widely considered dishonest and incompetent:

A sold-out crowd cheered, danced, and sang along during the Dixie Chicks' North American tour kick-off concert in Greenville, S.C., last night (May 1). Fans showed little concern for the controversy that has surrounded the band since lead singer Natalie Maines criticized President Bush over the war with Iraq.

The show marked the first time the group had performed in the U.S. since Maines told a London audience on March 10: "Just so you know, we're ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas."

Dixie Chicks face slumping ticket sales again and cancel shows

    By M&C News Aug 8, 2006, 21:29 GMT

The Dixie Chicks are once again facing slumping ticket sales for the North American leg of their current "Accidents & Accusations" tour. The lackluster sales have forced the trio to cancel some shows or replace them with new dates and venues.

The Chicks have posted a revised concert schedule on their website which includes cancellations of 14 cities (including dates in Kansas City, Memphis and Knoxville). The Chicks have also canceled a Houston show that would have seen them perform in their home state of Texas.

The site also lists other shows as being pushed back to new dates. These concerts include dates in Los Angeles, Denver, and Nashville – the heart of country music.

The Chicks hit the road with a show in Detroit at the end of July, but many trade publications have reported the group has been met with slumping ticket sales – including dates in the South and Midwest.

Although many news organizations are pointing out that the cancellations and delays are the result of slumping sales, the Chicks are standing by statements made early in the tour that the changes are simply to "accommodate demand." The group has also stated that more dates will be added to the tour for next year.

    Also canceled:

St. Louis, Oklahoma City, Indianapolis, Fargo N.D. South Florida, Greensboro, SC.

Anti- America sentiment caused sales in Canada to increase. Perhaps the Dixie Chicks should change their name and move out of the country where their politics as well as their musical talent will be appreciated.:applause:

2007 could see a change of fortunes for the Dixie Chicks. Meanwhile Bush's ratings keep going down...down....down into a burning ring of fire.

Not easily swiftboated by the bush culture

Praise God! they stand and stood up to the semi-fascists and those who are full fledged and in the closet...the bush culture is all about dividing and hauling in the money from dividing people and a nation....swiftboating has become a term easily recognized as propagandists trying to destroy good people.
