ALLEGED TORTURE SUSPECTS MAY FACE HATE CRIME CHARGES

Sad, very sad, that people will actually think others are worth nothing because of their skin color, and that they are superior because of their skin color.

God have mercy on the victim, and the perpetrators.

This happened near our county and I for one, am shocked that racism like this exists in our state, especially so near the capitol where there are many blacks. As far as we know, this victim is still in the hospital. She was mistreated very badly and I pray God will heal her both physically and emotionally.

    http://www.adversity.net/Cincinnati_Race_Riots/Opinion_SeattlePDorPC.htm

Michael P. Tremoglie writes: "MORE AND MORE U.S. cities, from Seattle to Cincinnati, are being held hostage by the forces of political correctness. On the one hand, "civil rights" activists seem ever more willing to justify and provoke mob violence. On the other hand, police and city officials seem less and less willing all the time to protect citizens against such violence.
"On April 14th, I spoke with Sgt. Ray Smith of the Cincinnati police public information office. When asked if any blacks had been charged with hate crimes in conjunction with the recent disturbances he replied that some had been charged with ethnic intimidation.

"Nearly two decades ago, as a police officer assigned to a racial detail I was required to report as a racial incident any instances involving anti-black crimes. When I asked about anti-white crimes I received no reply.

"This was evidently the case with the Seattle PD three months ago. They needed a political assessment before taking any action during the Mardi Gras celebration. I would also suggest that they needed to do a political assessment before investigating any hate crimes

"From the beginning there was probable cause to believe that hate crimes were committed by blacks during the Seattle Mardi Gras mayhem. The videotapes, news photographs, and witness accounts all indicated that racism played a role - anti-white racism. The Seattle PD did not acknowledge that possibility.

On a November night a little over a year ago, Columbia, S.C. resident Bill Calliham was driving home from a local Sons of Confederate Veterans meeting when he noticed the very bright headlights of a car following him. The car continued following him through the twists and turns of his neighborhood all the way to his house, blocking his driveway. When he inquired politely if the person, who happened to be black, was lost and needed directions, the man set upon him and sent him to the nearest emergency room.

Media blackouts on black-on-white hate crimes are the norm. A white person has to be incapacitated or killed before such cases even become local news. This was the pattern when Troy Knapp was beaten unconscious by a mob of black teenagers wielding metal trash cans while bicycling through a North Charleston, S.C. neighborhood the previous year. Knapp sustained severe head injuries, and languishes in a Charleston-area nursing home with permanent brain damage.

The incident was not reported by major media outside the Charleston area.

What you're implying, is also true, carpro.

However, even if there are an equal number of blacks on white crimes, what happened to the victim in the news story is still inhumane, unjustified, and criminal.

That's not really my point at all.

What a "hate crime" is composed of, from a legal standpoint, is unevenly applied and has no place on the books.

Assault is assault, no matter the reason. Murder is murder, no matter the reason.

Making a subjective and arbitrary decision that one assault is a "hate crime" and another isn't, based purely on the color of the skin of those involved , is I believe, unconstitutional.

I would be in favor of labeling all homicides as hate crimes...
You would have to hate someone before you could kill them!

This is the face of evil perpetrated against another human being. Brethren, sin is real. There is evil in the world.

satan controlled these sick individuals. Every crime is a hate crime.

We need to pray for his young girl. The Charleston newspaper website has some DEPLORABLE details of how they tortured her. Her Mother is leaning on God to get through this.

If anybody knows where we could send a donation, please post it here.
I,for one, would like to show her that there are Christians out here that are praying for her and caring about what happened.

Some people kill for money, And some people are just mean hate has nothing to do with it. They do not care one way or the other what happens to someone.

Exactly. All crimes are hate crimes to some extent. The only crime done out of "love" was OJ Simpson's according to him...if he would have done it. ;)

Some friends of mine went to see her in the hospital. Her mother and she were overjoyed to know that others care and are praying for them, even strangers they've never met. I haven't heard anything about a fund being set up yet.

More details have emerged from this case and it is most certainly not a crime based solely on racial prejudice. All of the people arrested have very bad criminal pasts, including voluntary manslaughter, even. Also, the parties knew each other before this incident and drugs are suspected.

I can agree with your conjecture in theory but in this case'''

I think this qualifies as a hate crime.
