Also just for clarification, the movies that are shown to adults in our "Dinner and a Movie" nights are not the same movies that will be shown to the children this summer on "More Than a Movie" nights.

Even the cartoon (which was made before 'Babe', btw) has violence, wreckless driving, and British cursewords

Look, if you don't like these mentioned movies, or movies in general I have no problem with that. I respect your position. However, I, like most people on this board and most Christians see nothing wrong with these pictures and are going to watch them anyway. Why not use them to foster spiritual discussion?

That is why I warn to be up front with this. If SFIC or Dr. Bob were to come to my house for dinner I would not say, "Hey I have this great movie I want you to see." I know they would be offended. Just like I would not serve pork BBQ to my Jewish friends. I understand and respect their postion even though I do not find it biblical or agree with it.

Agreed. Believe me, there will be plenty of notice. They won't just show up not knowing what movie is playing. And, we're encouraging parents to not just drop off their kids... but to make it a family night at the church. The games, crafts and snacks will all be themed to the movie. And afterwards, a study using a theme from the movie and Scriptures from the Bible. If a parent doesn't like it, they don't have to come or allow their child to come. But I would dare to say that alot of the movies we'll be showing to the kids are movies that are on their own shelves at home anyway. One parent told me she was glad we'd be applying a Spiritual theme to a movie like 101 Dalmatians because her daughter would remember that and forever associate that movie with that lesson. Maybe more kids will be like that too?
