It is No Secret that Mormonism is a Cult...

...from the two straight laced, young men dressed in their white shirts, black pants and sporting that sixties like, thin black tie (who come to your door wanting to share their faith), to the funny (animal skin) underwear that the elect members wear in the inner temple ceremonies, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that this group is a cult.

Thanks for posting this FAL, and reminding those who are often lulled asleep by the Mormon message as being mainstream, that this is a serious religious cult. One that should not be ignored or taken with a grain of salt. :type:

Amen brother, Mormonism is the pure essence of evil. The way they view Jesus Christ is blasphemy. We as Christians will be held accountable for our votes, and any child of God who would vote for a candidate for any office with such character in their inner being, should hang their head in shame. The Disneyland, Lawerence Welk external appearance is just that, an exterior appearance. I believe the Lord calls them whitewashed tombs, rotton to the core on the inside.

At the risk of derailing the thread, I wonder if our BB members here who are part of the FreeMasons have anything to say about the Mormons? (This is about as close to trolling as I've ever come, I think!)

My Dad and Granddad were Masons, but never talked much about them. I never felt the inclination or desire to join. There may or may not be anything wrong with it. Since I never joined, I do not know. I just know I see no purpose in joining unless I thought it would further the spread of the Gospel, and it appears to me to be more of a social, secret society club. Those are just my feelings, and I have no hard evidence, and would not think less of anyone who did join. I do have one question though, what connection do you see between Mormons and Masons. The only connection I see with Mormonism is evil.

I have no doubt but that two angels appeared before Joseph Smith.
How else could such cockamamie ideas become so acceptable?

BTW, all the Masonic "secret ceremonies" were exposed (presented as evidence) in a trial back around the Civil War times.

Probably the best resources on the internet are at www.hismin.com Rauni was a translator for the Mormon Church for 14 years. So she has first hand knowledge of the church from its documents.

It makes no difference to me whether angels appeared before Joseph Smith or circus elephants. Their cult is at odds with Christianity and the Person of Jesus Christ.

The fact is that the CULT had some powerful motivation (supernatural, if you will) for getting taken seriously from the very beginning.

Paul makes no mention of "elephants":

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel
unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
    - Gal 1:8

Neither does Joseph Smith, or Mitt Romney for that matter.

Sooooooooo------God is gonna send fire upon the Morman cult--but He's just gonna sorta "wink" at the godless agenda of the masons??? Maybe the reason you don't know more than you do about the mason cult is because your relatives "dabbled" in it and for you to find out what they really do-----would be a shame to you-----and you don't want to be shamed----so you chose to be shammed instead!!

    I see!!!!

I do not find Mormonism an amusing matter. I chose not to join the masons. What generations before me did have nothing to do with me. If you read the Bible, you will see this principle. I do not care about the masons. If you want to defend them, that is your right. If you want to, you can vote for Mitt Romney and fill out your mason application on the same day.

Thing about the Mormon church is that they claim to be the restroration of Apostate Christianity, that Jospeh Smith had revelation from Angel morani!

basically, they teach saved by garce and by being faithful to Mormon teachings, going thru temple seremonies etc...

Whole purpose is to have one become a god, for they teach/believe that God was a mere man who attained godhood, jesus did also, and failthful Mormons will be a god and have their own earth to rule over!

Wives JUST there to supply for the "gods" means to populate their new earth with their "heavenly children!"

I agree. In America and around the world are so many who are bound for a Christless eternity that I have little time to spend on being a watchdog for everyone.

I have never forgotten what I was told by a man who taught me the business I am in today. When I was in college I told him that I wished I knew more about what some of the cults believe. He asked me, "How do you tell a crooked stick?" I began to tell him the scientific method. What he said has stayed with me until this day. He said, "You lay a straight one next to it." I went away thinking that by studying God's word I will be able to recognize a lie. It has paid me big dividends in following God.

About one year ago I was in a room with a man, two lay leaders, and some other pastors. The problem was that a man was being talked to about the trouble he was causing the local church and his testimony in the community. Simply put, he was and is till a false teacher. By what I saw I questioned if he was a believer. I saw an interaction I had never seen in group of men. The only two people who were not deceived were myself and one of the lay leaders. Both myself and one of the lay leaders called attention to the lies of the man who caused trouble. After listening to the man the pastors and one of the lay leaders came to the conclusion that the man who had caused all the trouble was not the trouble. Wow!! I watched them in a period of a few hours go from listening to being completely deceived. The man told them that if they asked him to leave almost the entire church would leave. I knew that was wrong. One of the pastors even mentioned that he would love to have the man teach in his church. I soon realized that they were unable to know what a genuine disciple looked like and the other was they did not have a clue on how to deal with a false teacher. They did not know that a false teacher does not need to teach false doctrine to be a false teacher. He could be a false teacher by the ways he lives. The man's doctrine was sometimes a little strange but his life was full of pride and bad mouthing believers telling other they were not believers when I knew they were and there was no doubt. When I brought it to their attention about demonic activity in the church and it came when he did. Even non-believers had commented about the man. Those pastors took a psychological rather than a biblical approach to the man. Within one week after the meeting was over 3/4 of the church left because the man was not dealt with. That man had caused damage in the church for about 12 years and nobody did anything until that time. After the meeting and the pastor resigned the person who was one of the most arrogant people one could meet was asked to start preaching. His dad was a pastor and he was good at telling people how wrong they were in what they did and believed. Yet he had never reached anyone that I could tell from our discussions and everywhere he had gone was a trail of destruction. Within three months the church disbanded and it is now up for sale. All because those pastors did not know what a disciple looked like and were not able to distinguish spirits.

If we do not know God then Satan has us right where he wants us--ineffective.

Satan is always at church before the preacher is in the pulpit or a member is in the pew. He comes to hinder the sower, to impoverish the soil, or to corrupt the seed. He uses these tactics only when courage and faith are in the pulpit, and zeal and prayer are in the pew; but if dead ritualism or live liberalism are in the pulpit, he does not attend, because they are no danger to him. -- E.M. Bounds

    How true gb.
    Thanks for your post.

    2 Corinthians 11
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

They have had almost 2000 years to perfect their disguises and infiltrate the churches and other Christian endeavors.

Usually and ultimately revealing their licentiousness or legalism.

It's part of the package coming with being human that we have a fascination with the novel.

Also it seems that there are those who derive their sense of safety and well being from having everything neatly spelled out for them with a hierarchy of centralized authority and a body of regimented dogma such as provided by the Mormon and Catholic Churches.
