In his speech at the Republican National Convention Romney made the following statement: “My promise is to help you and your family.” http://nation.foxnews.com/mitt-romney/2012/08/30/mitt-romney-accepts-nomination So, taking him at his word he needs to answer some questions: 1. A family has a mother/father in a nursing home and they cannot afford to pay those bills. Currently Medicaid is keeping that person in the nursing home. How would cutting funding to Medicaid help that family? 2. A person would like to start a small business, but cannot afford to give up their health insurance. Additionally, their wife, because of a pre-existing condition cannot get any type of health insurance. Currently my insurance covers her, but no one would sell me insurance if I were on my own. How does it help this person and his wife if you kill Obamacare? 3. You have made an open ended commitment to keeping troops overseas. In fact, you have made noise that you may involve us in conflicts in other countries. How does this help the military families who would face future additional deployments seeing that past and current deployments have pushed them to the edge because of the long separations? 4. Young people are already struggling paying back educational loans. How does raising the interest on such loans help them?
